Riva 11-07-2007 09:42 PM
I was agreeing ironically. Did you think I thought brutalitation was a word?
That was sarcasm, not irony.

Tyler 11-07-2007 10:22 PM

Americans think irony and sarcasm are the same thing.

AA-12 11-07-2007 10:24 PM

They can be.

Deth 11-07-2007 10:26 PM
Americans think irony and sarcasm are the same thing.
And mistake coincidences for irony. I have to explain the difference far too often.

Charizard 11-07-2007 10:27 PM

Same here.

Like rain on your wedding day?

Slapping Penguin 11-08-2007 05:02 AM

Anyhow, so.....

What do people think of Immolation's Here in After?

And Thanatos' Emerging from the Netherworlds.

Personally, I need to listen to the first one more to make a final judgment however the bad element currently outweigh the good ones.

The second one I liked at first and really liked for a short while but now the riffs sound really dry to me.

yeah i checked EFTN out a long time ago and i thought it was pretty lacking in the songwriting area, like cynic's old demos. Basically, it has the potential to be awesome but when you're done listening you don't remember a single riff.

Sup Dom?
I haven't heard either release, but I'm quite enjoying he new Immolation. some parts are a bit more straight forward, but there's still enough trademark wacky stuff.

rattlehead42147 11-08-2007 01:21 PM

anyone like utumno?

Riva 11-08-2007 03:31 PM
anyone like utumno?
Tyler 11-08-2007 03:32 PM

I like their name, spawning the first generation of orcs ftw!

ZapatoDiablo 11-08-2007 05:49 PM

Has anyone heard of The Faceless? They are playing with Enslaved nearby in a couple of weeks.

LifeInABox 11-08-2007 06:25 PM

The Faceless are pretty good.

masscows 11-08-2007 06:28 PM

Yeah, some of their proggy parts seem forced but they're a solid act. If they improve on their next record they'll be a force to be reckoned with.

Seeing them live would be great, especially with Enslaved (and I think Arsis is on that tour, right?). They're not coming anywhere near me -_-

LifeInABox 11-08-2007 06:38 PM

If they would drop some of the lame breakdowns, they would be even better, but a few of them fit in nicely.

masscows 11-08-2007 06:39 PM

Yeah, alot of them just seem to be there for the sake of being there. That's their Dying Fetus influence kicking in -_-

LifeInABox 11-08-2007 06:41 PM

Who here likes Dying Fetus?

masscows 11-08-2007 06:43 PM

Are you asking me?

Angmar 11-08-2007 06:43 PM

Eww, not me. :p

They're playing in town tonight. I'm playing Warcraft instead.

LifeInABox 11-08-2007 06:50 PM

Both bad choices. Play Manhunt fo Ps2.

i am the robots 11-08-2007 06:52 PM

stfu, Warcraft III is probably the best PC game evar.

Hordes of ghouls and abominations = yesplz.

Totenkrieg 11-08-2007 07:08 PM

sieg heil warcraft 3, been playing some custom games recently.

i am the robots 11-08-2007 07:23 PM

Sieg heil indeed!

I'm still a melee guy myself, I've recently made the switch from NE to UD, and I'm pwning face.

Totenkrieg 11-08-2007 07:25 PM

I usually play humans when I want to actually put some effort into the game. Most of the time I just play random and **** around.

i am the robots 11-08-2007 07:26 PM

Undead melee units just pwn so much face, I just use ghouls like zerglings, and aboms just own if the game lasts long enough to get them.

Totenkrieg 11-08-2007 07:27 PM

yeah ghoul rushing with that one mother****er with the leeching aura is fun

i am the robots 11-08-2007 07:28 PM

Yeah, I normally get the Dread Lord, vampiric aura + sleep = pwnage.

But I just played a game with a DK, death coil is uber heal.

Plus, in the beginning, if somebody harasses, sleep + surround with ghouls = hero ownt.

Totenkrieg 11-08-2007 07:31 PM

you ever use that wagonmancer strat? build some graveyards, get meat wagons, get necros, fill meat wagons with corpses from graveyard, go outside enemy base, unload wagons, summon a **** load of skeletons with necros and just zerg the base.

i am the robots 11-08-2007 07:33 PM

Well in Frozen Throne it's easier to just research exhume corpses, cause then the meat wagons just spawn corpses on the spot. That + obsidian statues replenishing mana = uber pwn.

I'm normally the meat shield though, my one friend normally gets necros.

Silenius 11-08-2007 07:34 PM

Erm, WoW III isn't death metal...

:o
