The Sixpounder sols IS hard so don't expect to be able to play it so soon. Those string skipped arpeggios are what get me in that.
Enough with all this talk!
/listens to Sixpounder Meh. It sounds pretty hard. But seriously, Children Of Decadence is probably the easiest Bodom solo there is. |
eh who knows man *bangs head*
Children Of Decandence is pretty tough, I guess. I hadn't heard the real thing in awhile and it is pretty damn fast. The scales and stuff and easy, but playing it that fast without skipping any notes or anything is pretty damn hard.
maybe once i get my own guitar and start learning how to play ill know what u people are talking about and be able to join in instead of posting stupid comments such as my last one and prolly this one. wish me luck
Good luck then. I've only been playing a little under three years, so I don't think I'll be playing tons of Bodom stuff yet.
haha, you weakling. I once travelled ten hours by train to see Pain, and this summer I was on a thirteen hour busstrip to the Gates Of Metal festival, which Bodom attended. Both completely mindblowing.
You were at Gates of Metal? Cool, me too. Front row at CoB baby:cool:. |
Where is Gates Of Metal at?
Children of Decadence eh, I think the only bit in that solo that I would need to practise is the bit where it's descending 3 notes per string using the pentatonic scale.
That is the easiest part!
Nah.
Yeah it is. What is so hard about it?
It's wide stretches, quick position shifts, string alternate inside picking 16th notes at 145bpm.
But then again, I take my accuraccy extremely serious. |
Oh crap, I'm probably thinking of the wrong part. What part is it? How far into the song?
Well, you got the delay part, then the 1 bar sweep, then the next bar is the one I'm talking about.
Oh yes, that part. That is probably the hardest part, the sweep is surprisingly easy though.
/sucks at sweeps |
Yeah I find sweeping real easy since I started learning it the proper way, starting slow, unlike some people over in the guitar forum. SShhh, don't tell em that, I'm sure they realise that anyway. :P
I think the Bodom Beach Terror solo section is pretty difficult. |
How did you learn how?
Uh?
Oh alright, thanks.
I'm confused...
You said "Uh..."
Which really helped me alot, so I was thanking you. |
Sarcasm eh...
Indeed. Lake Bodom is awesome live.
You seen them then?
Tokyo Warhearts.
<_< >_> |
Oh right, I've tryed downloading a few live tracks. I've got loads of videos but I'm trying to get some rarer (sp?) ones.
More rare*
It is quite good, Laiho improvises alot in Lake Bodom. |
More rare, thanks.
Improvises? Are you sure he's not just buggering it up. :p Haha must be the first time I've said anything negative about Mr. Laiho, but I know how sloppy he was back then but now I've heard he's kicking maximum ass, and I'll get to experience this from front row. :D |
Actually, the word is rarer.
I'm pretty sure he improvises. |
Yeah I do believe he does, I've seen him on some videos and that Passage to the Reaper thing, surely some of that jam thing is improv.
Well if it is a jam then he is obviously improvising
There are licks and stuff that he's practised and rehearsed, it doesn't sound compeltely improvised, it's like he's listening for the timings as to when to play each lick.
Probably. I haven't seen the video, so I wouldn't know.
It's on Google video methinks.
Well methinks you should give me the link for it, methinks.
Only 'cause I'm kind:
http://video.google.com/videosearch?q=Children+of+Bodom I would of clicked directly on it but my pc dies after using that thing, since I have like 4mb left on my C: drive. |
Thanks, that whole instructional video was fecking awesome!
