cbmartinez 02-12-2006 09:19 PM

The ending is so good. The next track is good too.

deadohiosky9 02-12-2006 09:36 PM

Mattfanatic 02-12-2006 09:49 PM
www.epitonic.com is great for 90s emo.
thanks, i needed a distraction, writing papers gets old.

now if only i can get the other 3k words of my paper written before i leave for class in 5 hours everything will be great.

srt-4 02-13-2006 02:18 AM

haha, i'm listening to that indie band low they have featured on the front page. i like that sunflower song, except for the drumming.

It doesn't matter that I should be, what matters is that I'm not and you are. And you smell.

Four Hundred Years are sosososo good. Suture and the first couple 7"s are the best in my opinion. Not too into the later work although it still destroys 99% of all other bands out there

vocman 02-13-2006 06:38 AM

hello thread
I was wondering if any of you had a basstab for 'the poet you never were' by Saetia. thx in advance

Saturday Supercade 02-13-2006 06:52 AM

Four Hundred Years are pretty sweet!
Anyone here like Across Five Aprils? I only heard one song but that was a pretty nice song..

saetia isn't too hard to figure out.

Mattfanatic 02-13-2006 05:25 PM

man i'm bored and have a headache

StandingStill 02-13-2006 05:26 PM

I'd do it, but the bass is so clear you should really be able to work it out. What bits dya need doing?

whiteminority 02-13-2006 06:40 PM

Anyone here know how Ebullition is on domestic orders?

Also is Wolves anygood?

deadohiosky9 02-13-2006 06:47 PM

ebullition is great. Wolves are pretty good, nothing amazing though.

whiteminority 02-13-2006 06:50 PM

How long did it take for your order?

deadohiosky9 02-13-2006 06:51 PM

like 3 or so days i think?

whiteminority 02-13-2006 06:52 PM

Ok, cool. :thumb:

bottlerocket 02-13-2006 08:28 PM

So there was a thread in the bass forum asking about "good emo bassists" and someone tried to argue with me that Silverstein's album "When Broken Is Easily Fixed" was very similar to CTTS...:amaze:

They also said From Autumn to Ashes and Funeral for a Friend were "emo."

I'm not a genre nazi or anything but I thought it was funny. I was like, "Dude, Silverstein? Are we talking about the same band?" :p

...so anyway...I'm listening to Textbook Traitors.

^

Naw, I closed it...I suggested a few bands, along with another user who listens to emo, and let the thread run its course. The people mostly just said "Yeah whatever Gav posts just do that." There were a few Thrices and a few The Useds, though...Thrice I can understand but...come on...The Used? Is he even good? :p

I remember hearing cool bass on that off minor split.

cbmartinez 02-13-2006 09:26 PM

Off Minor's bass is fucking awesome. Thrice is a given. Though he kinda chills on the new album.

Moss Icon's bass is really good too.

deadohiosky9 02-13-2006 09:26 PM

off minor has f.ucking sweet bass.

EDIT: fugazi has sweet bass too.

bottlerocket 02-13-2006 09:47 PM

Off Minor
Saetia
Thrice
Fugazi
Moss Icon

All stuff I pitched somewhere or other in that thread...I had about 10 posts in it, naming random bands with good bassists as I went along...

Saetia's my favorite, though...I don't know how many of you guys play bass but I love what their bassist(s) (they had a few incase you didn't know...some didn't work out and one died) do in the band...truly some good bass playing right there.
