pisha, I was in a bar once and there I met god.

He told me if I don't leave now he'll take my beer and kick me so hard that I could taste my balls. Ony God could do a thing like that.

Mate, has your super secret thing you spent alot on arrived yet??

PaulSimonon 04-19-2005 04:16 PM

Is there anyway that we could make an MX blog, where a few of us have accounts, but can all post on the same blog?

PaulSimonon 04-19-2005 04:22 PM

Okay, so I made one at the same place Spiff did.

Wintermute 04-19-2005 04:23 PM

Just posting to let you know I'll not be around much for a bit... Technical issues.

Today we had an incredibly intense, incredibly sudden, incredibly localised, and rather brief thunderstorm. It was almost like God got pissed off at Pontypridd.

There were many effects, the thunder set off several car alarms, and the lightning caused a fire or two, and took out the trainlines. You could smell the ozone in the air, and it was hailing hard enough to break our guttering. At the first blast of lightning (with thunder that was actually simultaneous) I was playing my bass, and surfing MX. My amp made a *whuWHUMP* noise, so I just reached up and wrenched all the plugs out of the wall. Non of my kit was damaged, but it also hit our phoneline, frying our router. I actually saw the sparks flying from it. Later we took it apart, and there's a scorched hole in the circuit board. So until we can find a replacement, we'll not have an internet connection at home. Luckily we have a wireless router, so there was no chance of it causing any damage to any of our computers.

Spaceman Spiff 04-19-2005 04:29 PM

Whoa, that sounds incredibly intense.

Luckily your gear wasn't damaged.

Thunder Fingers 04-19-2005 04:30 PM

Wintermute 04-19-2005 04:30 PM

Oh, it took out the TV transmitters too, but they're back up now.

An hour later, the skies were blue. Britain...
