I'm buying games on steam currently to play when I've built my new desktop - my old desktop basically refused to connect to the internet... but yeah, here's what I've bought so far:
Aliens vs Predator Alpha Protocol Amnesia: The Dark Descent Batman Arkham Asylum Crysis Crysis Warhead Crysis Wars Just Cause 2 Machinarium Mirror's Edge Splinter Cell Conviction Splinter Cell Double Agent The Witcher ^ under 50 quid for that lot o.O Gonna have some fun when my PC's together.... |
If I had any money in my bank I was going to raid the shit out of the Steam sale, but all my money is in cash and a big chunk of it just went on rent/bills. It seems like such an amazing bargain until I realise I can get most of them for free from a torrent.

Might buy an EHX hog with my christmas money
|
finished cod, was pretty lame
enjoyed going through the vietnamese tunnels, i was in them myself, and they're bloody terrifying |
What's Supreme Commander like/about?
I'm playing Sins of a Solar Empire, looking quite fun so far but there doesn't seem to be a story, just some epic skirmish type battles.
It's the spiritual successor to TA, focussing on massive epic sized gameplay. |
Is this like Risk with giant, well sculpted pieces?
Sort of. You build the models from kits, paint them, and then play wargames with your assembled army. There is a huge range of different armies to play, and three main game systems. Warhammer Fantasy Battles - Set in the past, knights, dragons, swords, sheilds, magic - that sort of stuff. Warhammer 40,000 - Set in the grim, dark future. Monsters, Aliens, big guns, tanks and that Lord of the Rings - War of the Ring/Strategy Battle Game - Set in the tolkien universe, based on the books. |

OK, that's going on the download list. It looks bloody brilliant. Cheers Squiz. Just my arse handed to my on Sins of a Solar Empire, and it was set on easy. I think skipping the tutorial was a bad move. |
It's pretty cool to nerd out and play it with two monitors.
|
40k sounds like the coolest one, but id love to play all of them hahaha

I'm going to get back into it next year when i get a new job; it's mostly the painting and converting I liked the most but I might get a few games in if I can. |
you should have a small business of assembling and painting figurines for the impatient. make a profit nigga!

Sup lod.
In the middle of sorting out 2 computer builds, and the internet craps out. Problem with the exchange apparently. Has completely brought progress to a halt. Balls. Need my phone just to see the lod :( |
has anyone seen the dead space anime? can anyone tell me the story of it all? this impossibly brutal music video thing has really captured my attention. its got all the balls and feeling of when doom came out in 94 or whatever but squared! super violent!

anything to do with anime is only worthy of ridicule and is best to stay away from
|
Bullshiz, there are good animes like Cowboy Bebop.
|
no, no there isn't. there are only cartoons for basement dwellers with neck beards who wear asinine tshirts with pretentious video game culture phrases.

|
Anglo-Saxons weren't Germans.
|
How so? anglo-Saxons were invaders consisting of three tribes; two from what is now Germany and one probably from Denmark.
|
what is now germany
|
Angles and Saxons were most definitely Germanic tribes.
|

|
English = germanic language.
|
what is now germany
This. They were Anglo-Saxons, from a place we now call Germany (amongst other northern European areas such as Denmark and northern France). English isn't a language derived from German, it shares a common ancestor, as it were, with German. Also, there weren't just three tribes, there were hundred of smaller tribes, many with their own particular dialects. |
