clearvision 05-27-2005 09:16 AM

It's a small Indonesian child laborer.

superpeer 05-27-2005 09:20 AM

We don't have it. :(

munky_magik 05-27-2005 09:22 AM

Poor Jelle. Perhaps you should come to the UK to experience it, say around January?

Shred Danson 05-27-2005 09:23 AM
We don't have it. :(
That's because child labor is unacceptable in Belgium, right?

Oh, nevermind.

I'm the only American on this page.

All this talk about European brews makes me proud to be an American.

Oh right, I thought so. Who knows, I'll have to figure out if it's expensive to travel to England.

clearvision 05-27-2005 09:34 AM

I think it's a way of the scots getting back at the english. You beat us at every sport...we make your Irn-bru taste like piss.

Yeah, but those are stupid sports. :)
London is stupidly expensive compared to the rest of England
Well, in that case I don't think I will be very surprised about the expenses. After all, my country has the highest taxes in the world. :)

I like how Bobo strategically left the thread when three people asked him to provide an Octavarium upload :(

Hello, everyone.

I also have a couple questions. I know very well that A&I would be a better place to ask this (well, the music aspect of my question, anyway), but hopefully you guys will give me an idea or two.

A girl friend's birthday is coming up in June, and the general rule I have is that if a birthday-celebrator is having a get-together/shindig/party, then I have to bring a[n inexpensive because I'm cheap and don't want to give anyone the wrong idea] present over.

The only problem is, this girl is going to be very hard to buy for because... well, she hates everything. Well, not everything, but she's not like a girly-girl where I can go to Bath and Body Works and pick out random lotions, but I'm not saying she's beastly, either. She's a very artsy girl, though, and that drives me nuts because I cannot draw stick figures in motion to save my life.

So, first question: any ideas for a[n inexpensive] present I can get her?

Please do not say, "Put it in her butt lol"

Second question: she listens to a lot of music, but it's all very "scene" (The Faint, Bright Eyes, Of Montreal, etc.). Usually for people I burn them a random CD of things, because usually I send them stuff ahead of time to get a more general idea. Well, I've struck out, because three songs I've sent over have been vetoed... because she basically hates everything. So, any ideas for music along her favorite bands's lines?

I'm beginning to think that I should fake an illness or hope that I have to work on the night of the shindig.

Six Foot Revolver 05-27-2005 10:02 AM

Putt it in her butt lol

:p
Get her some good pencils or an art pad or something

So I'm golfing now?

This is going to be difficult. After posting all that, I am becoming more and more convinced that I need to fake illness/hope I have to work.

"A girlfriend"?

I'm assuming there's more than one? Am I to think that Jom's been having some wicked good three ways/orgies lately?

I can help you out with music that she might like. I'm pretty up to date on the "scene", I guess you could say.

Do you want me to list some bands that she would like, or do you need me to actually upload the songs?

I've started posting on a forum I used to post on a long time ago. My join date is March 2000, so when I showed up, everyone was really shocked. It's a soccer forum, called bigsoccer.com

Today, I went to the doctors for my allergies, and they gave me a bunch of crazy pills I have to take.

Then I went to Borders and bought a book on Radiohead, it's so good.

Arucard 05-27-2005 10:34 AM

Mmm, you could draw something really abstact? And in response to Munky's Irn-Bru pic post, heres mine :

This is the band I am seeing in June, I can't wait.
