Can anyone recomend some songs by Sacred Reich, War Fare and Suicidal Tendencies? I just won some vinyls on ebay. But will be unable to play them for a while.

DisposableHeroes 05-13-2005 09:30 AM

Dan Lilker had a cool 'fro in the 80's, it looks a bit more thin now

The only Sacred Reich i have is the first album and EP, Laid To Rest and Death Sqaud are the only songs i can think of at the minute

RavenousMetalist87 05-13-2005 02:38 PM

I just read today on Blabbermouth (right now, while listening to the 'Kill):

Tim Mallare officially quit Overkill x_x.

Man, Tim was great. This new guy sounds good though, he played in Hades.

Come on, when I met Lilker, he still had an awesome fro.

Seems Overkill are planning on playing the entire Feel the Fire album this tour...that's awesome.

FatalEnergy 05-13-2005 06:13 PM

The entire Feel the Fire album! That's badass, even though Under the Influence in my favorite and The Years of Decay is closely followed by that.

It'll be cool to hear stuff like Hammerhead and Rotten to the Core and stuff

I FINALLY get to hear Blood & Iron live.

Sexellent!
/has a fro

Going to order Agent Orange off the net tomorrow :D. I finally found a good, local site to order off :D

:D
Listening to it now.

DisposableHeroes 05-14-2005 03:57 AM

I better pick up some Overkill next time i have cash, but i have waaay too many CD's to listen to. Are Sodom doing a new album this year?

Kreator 05-14-2005 03:57 AM

I remember you from my lurking days.

DimebagDarrell 05-14-2005 04:41 AM

There was rumors the end of last year of a sodom dvd but ive heard no more on it since then.

n.p. Torture Squad - Horror and Torture

Apocalyptic Raids 05-14-2005 04:45 AM

Sodom dvd sounds sooo very good.

Kreator 05-14-2005 04:53 AM

yeah.. i googled it.. and found a site saying.. the double dvd will be relased in july.. the album will be released in september.. :)

DimebagDarrell 05-14-2005 04:55 AM

good good, going to be good thats for sure!

yeh i remember you to, we had that forum running for ages until it completely burned out and was forgotten :(

ThrashMaster27 05-14-2005 04:58 AM

M-16 was a capable album, so I'll be interested to see what they come up with next. A DVD does sound good aswell. Always on the lookout for new music DVDS, when I have the spon, which I'm lacking at the moment. I still need to pick up a few DVDs, Wrecking Everything mainly.

NP: Overkill - Time To Kill

Kreator 05-14-2005 04:59 AM

haha.. yeah..

DimebagDarrell 05-14-2005 05:01 AM

M-16 is a classic i think it stands up to stuff like in the sign of evil and persecution mania. Agent orange is still the best though :D

Kreator 05-14-2005 05:05 AM

i love them all :D

ThrashMaster27 05-14-2005 05:05 AM

Agent Orange is my fave aswell. It's usually a fine line between Agent Orange and Persecution Mania for most people.

DimebagDarrell 05-14-2005 05:11 AM

Persecution has some classic songs but can be a bit repetitive and also agent orange has magic dragon

RCA 05-14-2005 06:32 AM

At times I prefer Tapping The Vein to both Agent Orange and Persecution Mania, but my consistent favorite is Agent Orange.

NP: Candlemass - Demon's Gate (quite the EXACT opposite of thrash :p )

Apocalyptic Raids 05-14-2005 07:15 AM

So far I only have Persecution Mania, although I will be getting Agent Orange in the next few days.

/waits for m-m to start ranting about Persecution Mania vs Agent Orange :p

DimebagDarrell 05-14-2005 07:22 AM

i have in the sign of evil, obsessed by cruelty, persecution mania, agent orange and M-16 and to be honest i dont rate in the sign very much and obsessed is pure rubbish. Its way to raw for me which is just down to my taste i suppose but outbreak of evil which is on persecution mania was originally on in the sign of evil and it sounds 10times better when its been played again.

ForiegnPenguin 05-14-2005 11:26 AM

Just got Don't Break the Oath, not really thrash but meh....

DimebagDarrell 05-14-2005 01:45 PM

just discovered the mighty Watchtower! these guys rule they have influenced many by the sounds of it.

Watchtower are indeed good.

"Obsessed By Cruelty" and "Pure Rubbish" shouldn't be mentioned in the same sentence.

I found Demolition Hammer's "Necrology" demo and Shah's "Beware" at the local shop today. All for 9 bucks!

Shah - Beware is excellent. I only have it in mp3 though.

Most definately!

I'm glad to have it on CD finally, so I can jam out in my truck instead of listening to it on an MP3 player.

The CD stores here suck, and carry almost all mainstream/poplular music. They have quite a bit of metal, but it's all Arch Enemy type headbangers ball music. Luckily they have some thrash at least (Megadeth, Testament, etc.).

NP: Catalepsy - Evil Within

MAthiAS 05-14-2005 08:29 PM

Only CD stores near me are Tower Records, Sam Goody, and whatnot, so they don't have anything too far outside of the mainstream. Usually I go Amazon or Soulseek. There used to be a place that sold used CDs, I loved it, but they went out of business.

Hey man, I love old Arch Enemy. Really everything but Anthems.

I like it too. I am just using it as an example of the level of underground-ness they have.

MAthiAS 05-14-2005 09:21 PM

Gotcha.

Well I just got my tickets for Gigantour, hopefully Overkill and Testament will end up signing on the second stage.
