El_Goodo 07-28-2006 03:42 AM

Funny story I went searching for a Rolling Stones thread assuming Jacaranda would be a regular poster, to harrass the thread. But to my own amusement I discovered the only Rolling Stones thread was started by me, and lived a life of ten posts.

Yeah if he hadn't died, their time with Maharishi wouldn't have been interupted, and they'd still be together!!
Funny story I went searching for a Rolling Stones thread assuming Jacaranda would be a regular poster, to harrass the thread. But to my own amusement I discovered the only Rolling Stones thread was started by me, and lived a life of ten posts.
Pathetic.

Jacaranda 07-28-2006 03:44 AM

I'm also Phallus Dei. I gave up on Stones threads I think there was one more at one time so I just infiltrate other threads.
I like to pretend that I only argue about the Stones when they are brought up but that'd be a lie and I don't lie over the internets.
Yeah if he hadn't died, their time with Maharishi wouldn't have been interupted, and they'd still be together!!
I was talking about Brian Jones.
/shifty.
"Tomorrow's forcast calls for a lengthy rant by Jacaranda on how the Rolling Stones were a distinguished album oriented rock band, and may include shots at the Beatles, all in good fun of course..."
Helter Skelter Rehershal

And finally the sexiest video of all Lennon singing his song "Everybody Had A Good Year" which would become part of I've Got A Feeling.
I have a question about some lyrics I have heard rumors that in the song "I Am The Walurs" the eggman refers to Eric Burdon of the Animals and later War because he had some fetish with cracking raw eggs on his sex partener, but I also know John Lennon has been known for writing lyrics just so people will make up crazy ideas about what they mean. Any one know anything about this?
Ah there is my first post in this thread way back on 103. Much better then my first CR thread first post.

By the way Jac, I'm pretty sure the eggman rumor is true. My teacher was talking about that last semester in our Rock History class.

jimmypumpkin 07-29-2006 01:32 AM

The Beatles are the best band ever to exist.

"In my life" is still the best song i've ever heard.

YouGottaBeCrazy 07-29-2006 01:36 AM
The Beatles are the best band ever to exist.
Yeah, well...that's just like...your opinion...man.

El_Goodo 07-29-2006 01:04 PM
Yeah, well...that's just like...your opinion...man.
I'd have to second his opinion. And "In My Life" is one of my favourite Beatles songs it's one of their few genuinley sad songs, and its definitley one of their first timeless classics.

YouGottaBeCrazy 07-29-2006 10:07 PM

That's understandable. However, next time, don't interrupt me when I quote The Dude!
