someone who has a unique bass always shows they are individual and can think for themselves

Right now I don't care about having a unique bass, I just want one that is very playable, and a 6er. Granted, that is a plus to buying that bass, and so is the fact that it has a case.

My next bass is going to be custom made to my specs and such, and probably have custom inlays etc. I know that will be unique, right now I'm trying to settle the amount of strings.

As of right now, I'm leaning towards the Tobias. It's a very pretty bass, I'm still waiting for pictures of the bass in question, though.

Please buy Barney! I feel sorry for it, its got no home...

EDIT: That is not the specific Tobias in question, just a picture of one. The one I'm considering is fretted, and hopefully has less variation between wings.

Okay, I guess I've come to an unofficial decision: I'm going with Barney, as long as the owner wants to sell. He's been having reservations, and has backed out of selling it before. Obviously since he's put it back up, but has stated that he might keep it, he's not sure if he needs/wants it anymore. I sent a PM about his intent earlier today, so I guess the decision really rests on that.
