not much left shoe, and that bass sounds nice man go for it

good rats 04-17-2005 07:50 AM

Geez, your selling a lot of basses. I'm currently saving for a Hartke 3500 head, and a Yamaha BB605. My parents are pitching in some money for the Hartke though which is great, and I can hopefully get about $500 off the Yamaha.

Left Shoe 04-17-2005 07:51 AM

im selling all of the ones i own haha (well technically i stole the p bass but im still selling it).

i need a good amp im playing through a behringer bx1200, but i like better basses over better amps, though im thinking after i get this proline 5 im going to save up for a gk head and an swr cab

good rats 04-17-2005 07:53 AM

You stole the P-bass? Tell us more.

And I've never had any experience with GK, but SWR make very nice cabs. After I get the Yamaha and HArtke, I plan on either getting a Boss ME-50B, or a SWR 2x10 or 4x10 to go with my Hartke VX115.

is that the new resissues of the classic bb's? - theyre about $1800 start price

Left Shoe 04-17-2005 07:59 AM

gk makes heads that are hi fi with some growl, so i figure warwick growl + gk growl + hi fi cab (swr) = pure secks, i have yet to test this theory though.

yeah the p bass i stole from a guy who used to be my friend, but hes a complete *** and is always trying to show he is better than me at bass and he continually loses and gets embarassed but keeps coming back for more. hes done other things outside of bass and those things are much worse i just dont feel like listing them here (*cough trying to finger my girlfriend*).

so he tried to sell his p bass (which wasnt his , he stole it from our school). i said i was going to take it to my house to fix it because it was broken (i forget what i said was broken , it was completely ridiculous whatever it was). so i take it back to my house and i leave it there, he comes by like two weeks later all pissed off and hes like
"where the hell is it!" and im like
"what are you talking about"
yadda yadda yadda, i tell him its at my friends house, he goes there my friend tells him its at his friends house, he goes there that person tells him he has no idea what hes talking about.
so to him the bass disappeared and i now have a de fretted p bass.

 That's pure genious. Or however you spell that word. Is your P-bass rosewood or maple fretboard?

They retail for $1300 here in Australia, but I can hopefully get it for around $800.

ebay owns over priced basses!

700$ for an 1800$ bass
i <3 my warwick

good rats 04-17-2005 08:09 AM

Ebay is all well and good, I just don't trust it. I mean, I'm not gonna send $800 over to some guy in Canada for a bass I've never seen or held before. I'd rather go new, or a second hand bass that I've played.

Left Shoe 04-17-2005 08:14 AM

what are you listening to right now?

good rats 04-17-2005 08:16 AM

Against Me! - Sink, Florida, Sink(electric).
You?

Left Shoe 04-17-2005 08:18 AM

whoa i almost went to an against me show in cincinatti (a friend was taking me, i really dont know anyhting about the band.
i am listening to Saosin- Mookies Last Christmas

what can you tell me about against me or reccomend any songs?

good rats 04-17-2005 08:20 AM

Geez, Against Me are easily my favourite band. Really great group band, with heaps of energy. Check out Pints Of Guiness Make you Strong, What We Worked For, Reinventing Axl Rose, Ed Is Sexy. The list goes on.
And you should have gone to that Against Me show, they put on one of the best shows ever.

Left Shoe 04-17-2005 08:31 AM

meh i didnt know anything about the band (i still dont, who do they sound like?)

good rats 04-17-2005 08:33 AM

They have a pretty distinct sound. They are kinda folkish...folk punk as some people call it. You just kinda have to hear them.

Left Shoe 04-17-2005 08:34 AM

.......does their bass player play upright or electric *hates rockabilly/psychobilly*

good rats 04-17-2005 08:36 AM

Electric. A G&L I'm pretty sure. I think it's a G&L L1500.

Left Shoe 04-17-2005 08:38 AM

*sigh of releif* ill check em out later, if youre not into the whole emo/screamo thing i dont reccomend saosin :thumb:

rybass 04-17-2005 08:48 AM

What's up?

good rats 04-17-2005 08:50 AM

Emo/screamo is alright. I don't midn listening to it, but there are other things I'd rather listen to.

But for now, I'm off, cya LS and all others.

rybass 04-17-2005 08:55 AM
