lol man just because the lake district is nice doesnt mean it compares to the majesty of crater lake, much less the Rockies

i will admit Scotland and Ireland have scenes that take my breath away

Deth 08-16-2010 09:58 PM

yeah definitely not english

thanks for clearing it up

Angmar 08-16-2010 10:00 PM
I don't know what southeast you live in, but North Georgia has some pretty awesome **** in the mountains.
Yeah but we don't have CRATERS. The Appalachian Mountains are pretty cool though. And the outer banks.

That pic is insane.

Angmar 08-17-2010 01:51 AM

Bet you guys don't have any of these.

yes because my personal opinions determine that

explore beyond the shitty swamp that is Florida and see America for it's natural beauty

Deth 08-17-2010 01:46 PM

considering that at least 50% of things like that come down to emotional attachment and investment, I stand by what I said

do I realize there are bigger, grander and maybe more interesting things around than what's in England? Sure. But my attachment to the peak district is going to always make it second best to me. Everyone says where they're from is the best/most beautiful/whatever. Just like how my mom is the best mom in the world, because she's my mom.

if u love america so much spell things like you live here

Aakon_Keetreh 08-17-2010 01:50 PM

hey timjim lets have some din din?

tbh the only naturey stuff i deeply enjoy are mountains and storms. i dont care for much else except animals haha. if the UK had more mountains like Scandinavia or most of Canada and the US, then yeah i would say nothing compares.

i miss the bogs and moors of the countryside of England... i miss the green. when it rains here it reminds me of home alot.... i miss the rich history that all of the UK has to offer, i wish that America had places where i know my ancestors may have been hundreds of years before. i wish i still had the ability to go exploring looking for signs of the ancient past like i used to when i lived in Bath... my dream was to one day find a Roman coin or explore the outskirts looking for more aquaducts and ancient places.

the only rich history America has to offer is that of the ancient tribes, but not only am i unrelated to them, they also left behind little evidence of their civilizations other than arrowheads and some cave drawings

Deth 08-17-2010 02:11 PM

sup having it both ways

Aakon_Keetreh 08-17-2010 02:11 PM

Deth 08-17-2010 02:26 PM

Bleekill 08-17-2010 02:28 PM

TimJim 08-17-2010 02:28 PM

Deth 08-17-2010 02:30 PM

Deth 08-17-2010 02:37 PM
