Yeah but you're wrong about everything.
Yeah yeah. I know no one feels the same way but if I can convert just one person into a massive Pulp fan my life will be complete.
I've always thought Pulp were massively underrated, though I only started to get into them properly a few years back. I always loved Common People but assumed it was a one off... I've also been loving Blondie lately for whatever reason... and a few Bright Eyes albums I nicked off my brother. |
I'm never wrong, eventually all you kids see the light.
I'll change your ways buttermuffin. edit to UTB: nice to see you back round these parts. I remember when I was first first getting into Pulp last year you recommended "Disco 2000" and "Common People". Thanks for getting me started. B-) |

So they've gone from being ok to mehish on the ears? Boo on you Joe. I'm currently digging whatever crap Joe likes. |

Boo on you Joe. I'm currently digging whatever crap Joe likes.
Ok is Mehish. They're not Meh but they're bluring the line of Ok and Meh. |

Congrats on your modship, your modship :)
No way, you can't change the fact that they're a mediocre band and that they're just mehish on the ears.
 You must have heard Jarvis's charm on Babies or Underwear.... |
Thanks bucko. :)
Joe has a secret thing for Jarvis. I can see it in his eyes. It's all in the eyes baby. |
Radiohead - OK Computer
The Decemberists - Her Majesty Simon & Garfunkel - Bridge Over Troubled Water |
NoMeansNo
Everything by them i can get my hands on.
If you haven't heard Wrong, you're in desperate need. |
Hmm I don't have that album. I must get it.
|
Heh, not like me to be making decent recommendations. Congrats on your modship, your modship :)
 You must have heard Jarvis's charm on Babies or Underwear....
Jarvis as in the Mod or former mod whatever he is? I hate him. |
ffs jarvis as in the only other guy in the world named jarvis
I hate all people who bare that name. |
Jarvis as in the Mod or former mod whatever he is? I hate him.
:p Jarvis Cocker... I realised I left a 'not' out before 'heard' there. Ah well. Jarvis isn't the most likeable name, I can sympathise with you there, though I don't know ay personally... |

Cocker doesn't help much.
|
Cocker doesn't help much.
Yes, I'll have to agree with you there Amanda. |
Afghan Whigs - Congregation
This band isn't any good unless they're in full-on rock mode. Up In It and Congregation are solid, Gentlemen is hit-or-miss, and Black Love is awful.
What year did that album come out? |
Nice nice on Gold.
|
I hate all people who bare that name.
I know a Jervis. Does that count? I'm digging a Nick Cave/Tom Waits compilation that I didn't know existed(A Flowerdance Collection?) I came upon in soulseek featuring collaborations with Concrete Blonde, Primus, Elvis Costello, Dirty Three and PJ Harvey among others. |

It's ok we can obsess over him together. <3
You do need to move on though, he's got much better stuff to fawn over. |
Calvin Johnson - Before the Dream Fades
Dios (Malos) - Dios (Malos)
Half of the Calvin Johnson album is nice. The other half is pretty darn putrid. He does these little, almost acapella numbers. His voice has always been tough to get along with but you'll get used to it. That's not the problem. The problem is the tracks behind him just sound lame. That's the way it works for the four of the first five tracks. And then he does some more conventional stuff, you know, Calvin Johnson pop stuff. Those songs aren't so bad, they're actually pretty enjoyable. "The Leaves of Tea" is fun. Dios (Malos) is just a decent album, too. At least at first glance. They've kinda changed stuff up, they're not so mellow at least not as much before, which is probably them being reactionary for having a Beach Boy reference in every review they've ever gotten. Now it's more Pavement-ish/Grandaddy-ish, with the same pop influence they had before. They sound like they're from the Central Valley. Most of the stuff is kinda hit and miss, but they still do nice hooks. Just in case you were wondering. |
Animal Collective has new record?
Yeah, it just came out. Its called Feels. |
I saw Gwar last night. I was blown away, so today I've been in a Gwar state of mind.

Beulah - When Your Heartstrings Break
It's been a fairly long time since I listemed to this. It's still by far one of my favorite indie pop records. |

"What I've been digging lately" usually means you've listened to it recently. anyways, Wolf Parade has been dominating my playlist recently.... |
Dangerdoom - The Mouse And The Mask
The Jesus Lizard - Liar |
Hey Nacho, would you like to hear the album I recently finished? AIM me or jump on slsk, if you're interested. I'd like you to hear it, I think.
Should I care about DangerDoom?
If you're already a fan of MF or Dangermouse's work you'll probably enjoy it. There's some good beats by DM and lyric-wise it's typical humerous MF Doom. It's also got a few little adult swim mini-skit clippet things that make me giggle like a little girl. Right now I'd rate it 3(maybe 3.5)/5 |
fix your profile, ho
Wow, I guess that's always been wrong. Well, it wasn't wrong like 3 years ago. But...wow. |
Against Me! - Acoustic EP
AFI - Sing the Sorrow I was reuploading all my music on my computer, but I only got to Beulah before I quit. Takes too long. |

Welcome back by the way, haven't seen you in a while. I don't think I can download that because my internet was rate limited to 128kbps by AOL because I couldn't install their new drivers to upgrade to the 'easy improved' network. I have to reinstall Windows because there's something wrong with the PC installing the new drivers and I've tried EVERYTHING. Before I do that though I have to get all my 300+ albums + 1500 odd songs/videos I have onto cds. That's gonna take alot of cds :upset: |
Anytime man, and thanks.
And wow, that sucks alot. Invest in an external hardrive, it's the most beautiful invention since the dawn of binarty digits. Once you get your pc back and running, pass by nougat or AIM and I'll send it to you :). |
