Speaking of cheap CDs, I got a Mozart CD on Ebay yesterday for £0.01. Pretty good huh?

Excellent!
I'm getting a book on ebay for £0.47. The Woman In White.

Right next to the station too. Convenient.
Planning some kind of visit?
Possibly. There is apparently someone I'd like to see playing at the Centre For Contemporary Arts on Sauchiehall in a couple of weeks, and if I can link it in to a trip to the fabled Fopp, all the better.

He's also supposedly playing at the Sage music centre in my very own home town (Gateshead, not Leeds) a few days earlier though, so I'm not sure if I'll be going to both. Or either, to be honest, though I hope I will.

munky_magik 05-08-2005 10:17 AM

Well, if you do plan on going to Glasgow make sure you vist Avalanche, on Queen Street, for more CD shopping.

Who're you planning on seeing, anyway?

Thankee.
Who're you planning on seeing, anyway?
This guy called Keiji Haino. I don't think I've ever seen him mentioned on MX before (apart from by me), but he's apparently playing there with a few other people who I haven't heard of.

Bartender 05-08-2005 10:32 AM

Anyway, that's not important. Not even sure if I'll be seeing him yet. I like the lyrics in your user title, by the way.

munky_magik 05-08-2005 10:36 AM

If you do go, just make sure you don't get shtabbed/bottled by Neds. That will put a crimp in your day :-/ I like them as well, it's a classic song

Unless I can think of something really innovative, I think my thread making days are over.
The only people to really take notice are You and MXican. I'm sure everyone else just get's pissed off with my bumping :(

I highly recommend you stop posting for the sake of it because I believe the mods are starting to give out bans for behaviour like this

I voted for you Cain, your piece was excellent. You are definatly the best guitarist in R+M.

It made me rofl, sorry :(

Mazeppa 05-08-2005 03:45 PM
I still haven't figured out "rofl". Care to explain?
Rolling On the Floor Laughing.

"refl" is an inexplicable misspelling.

Illmatic 05-08-2005 03:46 PM

roll on [the] floor laughing

Haha, I slept til four in the afternoon today. I love having my bed back.

ATM 05-08-2005 03:47 PM

I slept until 2:30.

Then again, I was up until 6am, mainly sketching.

I love my new sketch book.

Cain 05-08-2005 03:47 PM

I just read back and saw all the compliments. :D :D :D Thanks a lot guys.

88 Fingers Joe, how did you vote? I didn't see you post.

Permanent Solution 05-08-2005 03:49 PM

I got a call at 9 o clock from my dad asking me if I had finished my finals yet? And then he put my mom on of course so I probably sounded drugged up wishing her a happy mothers day, bleh.

Mazeppa 05-08-2005 03:49 PM

So, we're just spoilt for choice with an influx of great threads tonight eh?

I'm never going back to my high school. I hated it there.

Kraftwerk owns, thanks for the upload, Tender.

Illmatic 05-08-2005 03:53 PM

I had a blast in high school, which probably makes me in the extreme minority in MX.

Dancin' Man 05-08-2005 03:54 PM

I always thought ROFL was Roar Out Fucking Loud.

Anyhoo, Cain is an excellent guitarist. Probably not the best in R&M but very good and his song writing is quite impressive. I just realized I do have an amp modeler. My old multi FX pedal has one built in. I'll try using that for next challenge. I wish people hated my song less.

^my highschool is becoming a very lot of fun. I don't mind class or the people in general. Of course, my best friends don't go to my school so I kind of float around various social groups.

Which pedal?

My dad is making steak for dinner!
I had a blast in high school, which probably makes me in the extreme minority in MX.
I went to a small, private school, full of stuck up, rich white kids who had an endless supply of cash from their parents to do whatever the hell they wanted.

RP100. Digitech. Kinda crappy but it works. I use it sometimes as a compressor/sustainer.
