What kind of tea mixture should I make?

I have green, english breakfast, irish breakfast, white, moroccan mint, afternoon blend, another english breakfast blend, St. James blend, standard Lipton, chai, imperial spice, and irish cream for tea.

Then I have pears, oranges, apples, bananas, and grapefruit.

Then I've got cream of coconut, pineapple juice, cranberry juice, milk, cream, and chocolate syrup.

I want to make a combination. =/

So as you may know, a kid that comes to my work often wanted to buy me a present for Christmas. He's 12, so I told him to save his money. I don't really like accepting presents at Christmas, so I tried my best to convince him to spend the money on his family or his girlfriend, etc.

Then he asked me to make him a tshirt. I gladly made it for him, and he loved it. Then the next day he tells me that he had no clue I'd like Bob Dylan, and he thought I only listened to "heavier" stuff. (When he'd asked me before Christmas what I listened to, I told him Bob Dylan, then asked why. That's how I found out) Turns out he already bought the cd (don't know which one) and he was listening to it.

He told me he was going to give it to me, but I was reluctant. I kinda told him not to give it to me, but he's already bought it and doesn't really enjoy it. :( Oh well, I'll see what happens.

Zildjian 01-06-2007 03:39 PM

omg I just Itunes dragon force. It sounds like music during a Pokemon battle

the_pure_drummer 01-06-2007 03:40 PM

Put everything into a blender and blend it.

Pleaseme 01-06-2007 03:40 PM

Jeesus. Go for Standard Lipton, with pears and cream.

Janeway 01-06-2007 03:46 PM

I don't think pears would blend well.

Gah. =/

Pleaseme 01-06-2007 03:47 PM

Neither would apples or pineapple! Got any rasberry?

Actually, lemon juice. Probelm well and truely solved.

the_pure_drummer 01-06-2007 03:49 PM

Buy a bigger blender?

fishbulb 01-06-2007 03:52 PM
I have that.. good song, not sure what you are refering too?
Ahh, the shrink and grow section. Listen to fatal tragedy at 4:38, that's where it starts. First of all, there are two riffs in it. The last measure of the first riff is always this fill that portnoy plays. So you play the first riff 4 times (3 and then the fill) then they play the second riff. After that they play the first one 3 times (2 and then the fill) and then 3 on the second, then 2 on the first (1 and the fill) and 2 on the second then one on the first (only the fill) and then once on the second riff. They then play another riff 4 times i think. Then they do the opposite of that. play the first riff once (only the fill) then the second one once until they play each one 4 times. It's incredible. The whole time that they are doing that, Petrucci and Rudess are playing two completel y different solos over it.

I bet that that was a horrible explanation, though.

Janeway 01-06-2007 03:53 PM

It's just pineapple juice.

I have a big enough blender, but certain things don't blend.

I think I'm going to do iced imperial spice/chai with a brown/white sugar syrup and coffee creamer.

the_pure_drummer 01-06-2007 03:54 PM

Hahaha im listening to it now and i just love the solo so much!

If you had a big enoguh blender, you could blend a cow.

maniac0796 01-06-2007 03:57 PM

If you played 5 bars in 4/4 could it count as 4 bars of 5/4?

You're not planning on sleeping tonight then?
If you played 5 bars in 4/4 could it count as 4 bars of 5/4?
No, because you feel 4/4 in FOUR and you feel 5/4 in FIVE.

fishbulb 01-06-2007 04:01 PM

It would end at the same time if that's what you mean. They're both twenty quarter notes but it would be a different feel.

maniac0796 01-06-2007 04:02 PM

Yuh, but technically, it would still count as the same thing...

yuh, thats what i meant fishbulb. There would be a different feel, but it would finish at the same time.

Zildjian_man 01-06-2007 04:14 PM

It is the same.

MattMarlow 01-06-2007 04:46 PM
No, because you feel 4/4 in FOUR and you feel 5/4 in FIVE.
Feel is independant of time. Time signature just describes the amount of time/structure you're playing, the feel can be anything e.g. 4/4 doesn't have to be felt as 4 + 4, it can be felt 3 + 3 + 2. 4 bars of 5/4 is the equivalent in terms of playing as 5 bars of 4/4.
No, because you feel 4/4 in FOUR and you feel 5/4 in FIVE.
Wrong.
Feel is independant of time
Correct (bar that spelling error :D)

A time signature is whatever you want it to be.
You could notate every single piece of music ever composed in 4/4 if you wanted to, or for that matter, you could put it all in 13/16.

fishbulb 01-06-2007 05:59 PM

Music theory is tight like that.

Very good. I was hoping someone was gonna catch that one.

fishbulb 01-06-2007 06:12 PM

Definitely wasn't me...
