Sucks, dude. Being sick is no good.

I'm going back to my old job at Co-op for a week, next week. There's a big sale, so they always hire on extra staff. I work Sunday-Saturday, nearly 70 hours. I'll make enough money to buy a TV and still live for a bit.

tv sucks buy cashews and fine meats.

man, ibuprofen is god's gift to my body.
i feel so much better.

BenJammin 11-18-2009 02:11 PM

The TV is for movies and gaming, which I do a lot of because I have no life. Besides, Maude's paying for half of it, anyway.

Ibuprofen is sweet, though. I live off of Advil Liquid gels (or the similar no-name brand) when I'm rocking any ailment.

Efrim 11-18-2009 02:28 PM

how much are they paying you?

FunkMetalBass 11-18-2009 02:28 PM

Mods, please close 13 Cross' thread. It's boring now. And he's more obviously a troll now than ever before.

BenJammin 11-18-2009 02:30 PM

@Jesse: Enough. I'll be banking about $1000. I don't have to get taxed because I haven't made enough this year. My monthly expenses are about $550, but I also still have 5 months worth of rent in the bank, as it is.
The fireball touched the ground, reached nearly as high as the altitude of the release plane, and was seen and felt almost 1,000 kilometres (620 mi) from ground zero. The heat from the explosion could have caused third degree burns 100 km (62 miles) away from ground zero. The subsequent mushroom cloud was about 64 kilometres (40 mi) high (nearly seven times higher than Mount Everest) and 40 kilometres (25 mi) wide. The explosion could be seen and felt in Finland, breaking windows there and in Sweden. Atmospheric focusing caused blast damage up to 1,000 kilometres (620 mi) away. The seismic shock created by the detonation was measurable even on its third passage around the Earth.[7] Its Richter magnitude was about 5 to 5.25.[8] The energy yield was around 7.1 on the Richter scale, but since the bomb was detonated in air rather than underground, most of the energy was not converted to seismic waves.
Have we met before on here?

Giga 11-18-2009 08:03 PM

Home of the Condom Hut.

gaslight 11-18-2009 08:07 PM

Haha. Man, stay out of that store when they have the Slippery Floor signs out.

"No test drives."
"NO RETURNS. Dear God. No Returns."

Giga 11-18-2009 08:10 PM

The best part? It became a display booth for a locksmith business' work.

It's been in the mail for honestly, nearly 2 months. And it was only coming from Toronto. Wtf.

Cramboli 11-20-2009 12:28 AM

That's messed up, Vinyl or cd?

Giga 11-20-2009 02:08 AM

i've got this crazy craving for mexican food all the time
i think my body is either trying to tell me that i subconsciously desire a relationship with a middle-aged mexican woman or that it needs some srs feces to rectify something i've done to **** it up
That's messed up, Vinyl or cd?
Vinyl, 10".

gaslight 11-20-2009 08:42 AM

Dang it, heat.

It's nearly 2 in the morning here and it's 30C.

BenJammin 11-20-2009 08:44 AM

Brutal.

It's, like, 0 here.

Is that 30 with or without the humidity?

gaslight 11-20-2009 08:57 AM

I dunno, the weather site just says that temp, also says 44% relative humidity. I'd say the humidity has a bit to do with it, it's very sticky weather.

FunkMetalBass 11-20-2009 09:26 AM

I use a nonstandard system of measurement. Other countries don't understand Fahrenheit, and Americans don't understand Celsius.

Instead of playing favorites, I'll make up my own unit of measurement so that I can say that it's approximately 136.7 J outside right now. Pretty warm for this time of year.

How's the flu battle going?

FunkMetalBass 11-20-2009 12:45 PM

I'm entering a competition for a $1,000 scholarship. I'm supposed to design something artsy. Not sure how it pertains to my math degree, but it sounds a hell of a lot more fun than writing an essay.

Giga 11-20-2009 12:58 PM

use some kind of algorithm to create some kind of audio/visual thing or smth

i mean i know that's a very non-specific idea but it'd probably be useful to incorporate math

disclaimer i am fucking terrible at math

I'm designing it around a logarithmic spiral. I'm going to incorporate the words "hope," "inspiration," and "legacy" into it as well. Maybe I can try to work in some pictures of me writing crazy equations on a blackboard and helping a little kid with his/her homework too.

I don't really plan on going into education at all (although I'd really like to teach a math history class :) ), but it'll pull somebody's heart strings.

Giga 11-20-2009 01:17 PM
