Candlemass was incredible, I'm still reeling from the concert. Easily one of the best shows I've seen. I met Lee, and that guy who looks exactly like him was there too.
Just what the world needs! Two Lees! |

***moved this here. I'm very critical of this comment...Worship!!! |
Naw Worship was good but not as good as Evoken.
|
Worship was very good, although there were some tiny flaws on the album.
eg. the stop start riffing in the first track, it takes away the mood of the song. Still a very good album. I haven't found any flaws on the new Evoken and I can't yet judge for Esoteric, but looking at their progress I think it'll be a good contender. |
One problem I had with the Worship was the production, it wasn't very heavy.
|
I thought theproduction was ok, although it can't beat the production on Evoken.
Heavy and thick, yet the psychotic leads cut through your soul like a knife through butter. |
So I realized a few days ago that Black Sabbath ****ing blows unless they're being covered by Candlemass.
Thank god for Ancient Dreams. |

You didn't like that? I thought it was great, made it sound very heavy and it was great when the music stopped and then Pharos' voice kept going, sounded awesome. |

I see what people mean about this Esoteric. It's phenomenal. I didn't think anything could be even as good as Subconscious Dissolution but this might be better. It's definitely as good at the very least.
They've gone the Pantheist route of adding fast passages, at least on this one song, there's actually a short blast beat section. |
subconscious would be awesome if the raspy vocals weren't so bad
|
Well they're much better here.
|
i didnt say that i disliked it
|
I know, sorry I'm just in a pissy mood right now.
Anyway the vocals on the new one aren't as raspy. |
omg this new Esoteric is shocking. Caucus Of Mind has a thrash tempo beginning and a shredding solo wtf?
|

Pantheist is great, so any comparison with them floats my boat. :) How did Esoteric put the keys to use on the new release? np: Esoteric - Morphia \m/ |
Currently blasting Ahab. It's been a while since I listened to doom.
|
bought The Death Of Her Money album yesterday, duno if you guys know them, they're a trio from Newport, heavy as fook, check them out

Then Ahab is always a good starting place.
I wonder when they will release anew album and I still need to see them live. Hey Phototropic, how are you doing? Long time no see. /Checks band out. |
