Centaur - In Streams
The band that came after Hum, featuring the returning vocalist and 2 guys from other bands. It does resemble the heavy and melodic style that the aforementioned band had but Centaur comes out a little more dirty and aggressive(without being needed to be categorized with bands such as Isis). A different animal altogether. |

Deathprod - Morals And Dogma
Angels Of Light - Everything Is Good Here The latter is either the most brilliant record I've ever heard, or the worst. I cant make up my mind. Think Folk gone Post Rock. |
Slint - Spiderland
This band is superhuman. |
I'm listening to Pinkerton again.
Alex, I had my first listen of your album before that. I need to listen to it a few more times before passing any kind of judgement though. |
Can't even drop a first impression? Oh well. I hope you do give me some feedback either here or on a RYM PM if you give it more listens.

I can only listen through laptop speakers at the moment, so it's hard to judge, but after I give it a listen through a decent set of speakers I'll let ya know. |

Brilliant record! I'm glad someone's listening to this. What have you thought of it? |
Slint - Spiderland

Is that a compilation or a normal studio album? |
Someone mentioned Mineral a couple days ago, and I've been listening to them since. Power Of Failing is easily the better of the two albums that they put out.
Ryan Adams - Gold Syd Barrett - The Madcap Laughs |
Xiu Xiu - La Foret

I just got Animal Collective's new record, Feels. I imagine I'm going to be listening to this for a while.
|
Calvin Johnson - Before the Dream Fades
Dios (Malos) - Dios (Malos) I've been anxiously awaiting the latter, playing it for the first time right now. Hmmm. |

No, but the name of their genre did, and not before becoming a taboo word. |
I Heart Hiroshima
Tell that brother of yours that I'm still waiting for my cd. :p I'm really enjoying Isis tonight. I listened to Clap Your Hands Say Yeah most of the day at school. |
Thanks to Happymeal's recommendation some time ago, I've currently been digging Jerk With a Bomb quite a bit. Awsome.
Also: Sigur Ros - Takk Minor Threat - Complete Discography Bad Brains - I Against I Two Gallants - The Throes The Decemberists are playing here in November, i'm definitely going. Two Gallants are the support, and they are fantastic as well. Should be a great night. |

Been listening to a funk/motown mix that I made the other day. Favourite song on there is Superstition by Stevie Wonder. Such a brilliant wake up song.

I was speechless. I spent 3 hours listening to Dead People's Things on repeat. And I just got his boxset yesterday, and it's become my most prized possetion. Easily the finest in dark ambience that I have heard of to this day. I just need to find some of his Supersilent records. Nifty avy and custom title man . Im also enjoying The Dead Texan - S/T Strapping Young Lad - Alien Q-Tip - Kamaal The Abstract |
i've been keeping my ipod locked on Cake lately
and also Nada Surf the Fray The Books Team Sleep |
Franz Ferdinand
Pulp I've been in Pulp obsession mode for about a month. How these guys aren't universally recognised as the greatest band ever in the history of anything I'll never know. They released 3 solid albums which I wouldn't hesitate giving a biased 7/5, then a final one which was still 4/5 territory. I love most of the britpop bands and groups to come out of this era/style, but man oh man these guys kill them all. |

Yeah but you're wrong about everything.
Yeah yeah. I know no one feels the same way but if I can convert just one person into a massive Pulp fan my life will be complete. |
