Both Sgt. Pepper tracks and a day in the life would be my favourites. Although I do love Getting Better.

I've been going on a Harrison binge the last two days. Yesterday I decided to pop in the first disc of all things must pass while taking a shower. And Now George is basically all I've been listening to for the last two days. I've got All Things Must Pass and then some downloaded tracks like This Is Love, and Any Road.

Although I still prefer Lennon's solo career, All Things Must Pass is probably the best post Beatles CD.

Nah, I believe that title belongs to Band On the Run.

While I do like that song, I'm not really a fan of Wings or much of McCartney's solo material. It's too...McCartney-ish. Ram is a pretty good album though.

Blasphomy! ATMP has such great muscianship on it, and not to mention tons of great tracks. And it's alot more personal than songs like Bluebird of Band On The Run. I will have to admit that the title track is a classic, and Jet and Let Me Roll It are really great.

I've become obsessed with George over the last two days, I just read an interview of his, and learned that when he asked Dylan how he could write such amazing words, Dylan replied with "What about all those chords you play?" and then they wrote I'd Have You Anytime. (Which I just learned on guitar). George is truly an underrated singer, songwriter, and guitarist.

I do....MMT, to me, rocks more, and is less blegh then Pepper's.

Now that you've brought it up, MMT kicks Sgt. Pepper's ***. There's some tracks on Sgt. Pepper that I could live without hearing again for the rest of my life *achoo-fixing a hole* *cough-lovely rita* and with Strawberry Fields, Hello Goodbye (gotta love the ending), Blue Jay Way, Baby Your A Rich Man and All You Need is Love it's definitley a contender for one of the Beatles best albums. But not owning the album I've never listened to it a whole, so I never realized this.

If you look wayyyy back in this thread I think I mentioned my love for MMT with great enthusiasm, and it's still my second favourite after Revolver.

I agree on fixing a hole, but I find Lovely Rita to be one of the more rocking tracks on Sgt. Pepper's.

I commented on that review...I rated the album 5...but I think it was because I'm blinded by my love for the beatles. I do love every track on that album, but it's really not a classic, more so it's just a really great record worthy of a 4 or 4.5.

Haha very weird...I went back to the review of Please Please Me to see if that was your review, and I found the link and I was watching it then I came back to this thread and PrimalBreath had posted the same link, and I was like...hmm..thats ironic. I prefer the rooftop video of Don't Let Me Down. I think going back into the second verse? John just sings jibberish, that's a classic moment, just seeing how much fun there having.

Yeah, I posted it in there too, but people on sputnik don't seem to appreciate the finer points of that performance. Don't Let Me Down is so under rated.

Right now I'm watching the video for Harrison's Crackerbox Palace, for some reason I find it hilarious. When he says the second line "My eyes could not yet see" his hand movements crack me up! But the dreaded moment the top of the youtube site warned me about has happened, and the sites now under construction.

It doesn't matter what/who caused them to disband because they would've broken up very soon after they actually did anyways. I mean say they didn't break up when they did could you really see the Beatles surving into the 70's etc?

Which is sort of what I was saying. Slightly. However, it does matter who and what caused them to break up, as it's a topic of interest. Kind of like JFK. It doesn't matter who killed him, he would've been dead soon anyway, right?
