It's okay Valley, it has good sound but it still sounds flat. I'm still trying to listen to the lyrics though to see what's going on there but overall it's 'OK'.

The second song was pretty good, I like what's going on in it.

Cool, well I know it sounds flat. But I'm not too bothered about it. Basically it's our first recording so it's demo level really and we just want to get our music heard right now. Hopefully after the gig we played earlier this week we might have a few more gigs lined up too in bigger venues such as Portsmouth Wedge and Southampton Joiners. So all is good.
Basically I know the Cd is not amazing but for a first CD it is alright.

Yeah well like I said it's 'OK' which means it's 7/10 which is pretty good. I do like what you have going on in the second song.

I remember recording a some what professional first EP with my second band (last year) which was pretty popular band around my area. Unfortunatly I never had it released because we broke up a couple of weeks later. I think there's a live recording of one of our last shows floating around my city because I've heard one of our songs played on a public access music show. So I know how exciting it must be for you right now and I hope things continue to go the right way with your band.

Hopefully the new group I just formed will stick together because we're all good friends unlike the former band. So I guess I might put up some of our work on this site sooner or later.

Thanks alot for that :) It's good to hear encouragement from guys like you :thumb: I think the plan now is to distribute it to local radio stations and promoters and hopefully something will happen. We are already under a new promoters wing (SCOMP records) All the best with your new band too.

Well_Respected_Man 02-16-2005 07:07 PM

Has anyone here actually managed to listen to all discs of Zaireeka at once? my weekend project is to get them all set up at once, right now i'm listening to only two and three at the same time and it's madness.

Eh, Modest Mouse werent all that good on Austin City Limits. but, i'm not much of a fan anyways. i just kept staring at issac's lisp.

br3ad_man 02-17-2005 01:45 AM

Volleyball or Modest Mouse is a tough choice...

vallely2004 02-17-2005 08:02 AM

Modest Mouse are bastards. I mean I still like the music but they cancelled their show in Portsmouth to do some TV show. It was the only UK tour date they cancelled and they never rescheduled it

No, I don't have four cd players. But I might try it on the pc.
