played a squier p bass today - a newish one
it sounds great - if it had more frets it would render all other basses unnecessary

i dont want 2 j-s.... thats why im selling my flatwounded j copy.... maby i can aford a fender japan p with in a month or so.. if i cant finda s.h sig or a cheap 70's...

yeah im sight reading an entire performance tonight, jazz band needed a better bass player so they are making me go tonight.

or that fender p i played the other day

now why should i buy a 1000£ bass when i can get a fender Japan wich is as good(if not even better when im done with it..) for under half the price? :p if i can get a Fender 1970's Precision for 800$ im ofcourse gonna go with that, but i dont trust how fast the currencys may change...

I *really* want one, but I'm not decided on body shape. I want something that I know will work. I want something like my BTB, but I don't want to entirely rob that design. I'm using a headstock design based off Hetfield's natural finish Explorer though.

it has olfd fenders, new fenders, about 3 kinds of p, eg different strings or year model

yeah, but its still not a fender precison with all its history and personality... and i dont wanna show up at a iron maiden tribute gig with a Variax.... and i realy dont like active basses :p

But it's still just a replica, it's not as good as the real thing...

it can be active or passive
and why not?

becouse they need batteries... and the variax apparently eat them faster than 10 stomp pedals...

im not just after the sound... there is somethingf about the feel of the p-bodys i realy like to...

the variax's all come with a di box which connects to main power which means you dont need to use the batteries in the bass - because so many people complained at its battery guzzling power

Crazy story.

So las night I was at Religious Ed. and it was the last day so we were all just sitting around and this girl I was talking to decided to stab the desk I was sitting at and for some reason reflexes kicked in and I kinda threw my hand right were she was about to stab and she stabbed me! I had to go to the Immediate care center and get my hand stitched up (Yes is was that bad).
Now I can't play bass becasuse my hands all wrapped up
