I used to fall asleep to static-x when i was really into them
Morning all, Whats going on?
Not too much man. Just being incredibly bored. I'm watching Futuramam episodes on my computer and drinking week old Pepsi. By week old I mean sitting on my desk in its bottle for a week.
Ewwww. Is it all warm?
Futurama > The Simpsons. What happened to you, you never seem to be in the bass forums any more. |
Oh, I just looked up the page.
That seems like a good reason. I hope we begin to see more of you again. |
Nah it's not too unpleasantly warm, I have heavy curtains in this room and a fan, so sunlight really doesn't warm up the inside of the room very much. It's nice and shady all the time, I've mistaken 5PM for 5AM before after waking up from a sleep.
Ahh thats ok then.
All I'm doing is listening to my entire mp3 playlist on shuffle. Its about 2600 songs. How come with the shuffle thing you always end up listening to the same songs anyway? |

Hey madthumbs.
yo paul... ill be back later :thumb:
what up paul, MT
GL Representin' on 2681 y'all.
Yo coddingtown... whats up wit' yo?
Not too much. I really like my spector, but Im really debating taking it back and saving up for a warwick, for the growl that mine lacks. But if I do this, I wont have a decent bass in the meantime, and things are just starting to kick off band-wise.
Heres my situation... Spector euro neck through 4, or, trade it in for a bolt on warwick thumb 5. If the thumb was neck through it would be hands down, but seeing as how I have like a week with which I can return it, and the ww is the same price, Im quite conflicted... |
but... I just bought that "side one" cd online and Im stoked to get it.
Thats a tough decision. But if you aren't going to be 100% happy with your bass, then take it back.
If its not what you want, you don't need to keep it. |
true, true.
How much of a difference sustain-wise does neck through vs bolt on make? |
I have no idea. I think my bass is a bolt on, and I have never had the chance to play a through-neck.
ahh, well that was one of the main reasons I bought the spector. The neck through gives it great action and sustain and playability at the higher frets.
Im thinking Im gonna go with the ww, which sucks because I just bought coated strings for the spector... |
Yeah, but at least you will have something you will be totally happy with and thats all that matters in the end.
Love to stay and chat. But I gotta roll out, theres some shizzle I gotta do today.
hah, I dont think I will ever be totally happy with an instrument till I get a streamer stage II 5, but I do think I will be happier with the tone of the ww.
ah well... later paul |
Ahh yeah. Was it you who +ve repped me?
yeah. I neg repped vivaladumbass and low end too
Thanks. Anyways. Back to the leaving.
When I was contemplating getting the SR900 rather than the SR500 as my new bass based upon the SR900 being a neck-thru, my bass teacher told me it wasn't worth the couple of hundred dollars in price difference.
I played an SR once; it was one of the older models, with the P/J setup. I hated it.
i think im starting my own little casual tradition.. this plase needs a little work up :p

I keep getting crappy news about the arrival date of my bass.
First it was going to be 4 weeks, that was 2 or 3 weeks ago. A couple days ago I found out it won't be here until the end of February and maybe the first week of March. :upset: |
Hey guys.
