I really hate working for a company who doesn't listen to their employees. The lead of my team has been nagging them for like a year and a half now that they need more people. We're talking like 10-15 needed [Total], and we now have 5 (basically me and another guy came in contract in May).

Long story short, the lead guy (actually a friend of mine) is leaving today. As this team is already hell in a hand-basket, this should be fun.

My Predictions:
1. At least 2/4 people quit before the end of next month (not including my friend/lead guy leaving today). Believe me, the second I find another job I am out of here. Though it has always kind of been that way as this isn't in my field and I'm contract. So really they could walk in right now and fire me, or I could send an e-mail and leave.

2. Honestly, with just the lead leaving of the team, we won't make our goal next quarter because more companies are being required to file detailed tagging by the Government (i.e. more work for us) and we are losing people (when we really need to at least double if not triple the team).

3. The parent company refuses to put more strict guidelines on our clients (though we are the slackest of all the companies we know of) and refuses to put more money into this team. The XBRL team was created a little over 2 years ago, and I don't think it will live to see it's 3rd birthday.



Mandatory LFD tl;dr: I just got the motivation to revamp my resume and start dishing that thing out over the weekend. Hopefully I wont be at my current job at the end of January.

Edit/P.S. - This pretty much means I'm going to be second in command... and seeing the person above me works only part time due to school I'm basically going to get swamped with more work.

First game was 1100 points speed list vs Marines.

I wasn't aggressive enough in the first turn and his razorback shot me up real bad. Turn 2-3 went ok, and I killed his scout bikers with 18 shots from my lootas, and one Nob with PK eat through two of his tactical squads and claimed the objective in the middle of the table, but then his sternguard got out of the razorback and shot up the Nob, then ran through a couple of buildings to shoot then assault my gretchin. They nommed 19 of them and a runtherd and took my base, and the game ended with him owning all three objectives and I had not a model left.


Second game was 1100 points more balanced list vs Dark Eldar wytch list.

Lelith Hesperax is a total monster and gets 12 power weapon attacks on the charge against my boyz. Both of my trucks got popped in the 2nd turn, and then loads of assaults got nasty and yeah, got thrashed.

Third game was a 1500 point list + the 1000 point marine player vs the 1000 point Dark eldar guy + 1500 points of balanced IG.

We (me and the marine guy) got thrashed by demolisher cannon rounds and darklances.

i bet if mx wasn't here, lfd would kill himself since it's the only audience that "listens" to him

Or be more militant with your recycling.

Although, that can depend on how accommodating your council is. Mine collects food waste, garden waste, plastics, cardboard/paper, glass and tins/cans. We also have a compost heap at the back or the garden. Realistically speaking, a lot of our waste can be recycled or composted.

60 should be ok; i'd probably go over that to be honest but just keep an eye on it. Stuff like 15/20 is just not feasible for me.

Live in a kinda weird location, but its still only about 30-40mins from the city center, which is ridiculous for a capital city to not have sufficent BB...

The broadband issue is forever getting hassle and problems, the infrastructure for it is unbeleivably lame, but they're slowwwwwly getting around to it

theres only a handful of services that will operate here, thing is, the weather is absolutely mental here and theres not much chance of getting it done before christmas

for DSL the line can only cope with 3mb or so max, so thinking of getting fixed wireless which is what we have now, but with a 8mb download 1mb upload, which has the 60gb limit, thats probably the fastest available

OR the service that discontinues what we had has a 4mb down/upload with unlimited data, but its like 55€ for that, most others are 30€ or so and can include phone
