Is that something to do with T.S Eliot's 'Tradition and the Individual Talent'? Influenced by the philosopher by the last name of Bradley or something? I did an essay on objective correlative earlier in the but I can barely remember it now lol

RunAmokRampant 10-18-2007 06:37 AM

Man, this place is the equivalent of roadkill.

TojesDolan 10-18-2007 10:31 AM

Roadkill has a wider range of emotions.

I can't get over this song:

Aoki Takamasa + Tujiko Nuriko - Alien

I've been in Paris this weekend. Awesome city. Watched the rugby final and visited some galleries (which were much more interesting)

I sat outside a Parisian cafe drinking coffee and smoking, wearing black and sunglasses and writing poetry.

I am a cliché.

But did you feel cool doing it?

So I wrote something the other day. I might post it.

RunAmokRampant 10-23-2007 05:48 AM

Surf 10-24-2007 11:40 AM

Call me Mitch bro it's all sweet.

I do have a thing for that particular freckled red head yes. But I am due a change. Am taking suggestions.

Edit: Small pic = freckles. She doesn't really have freckles though.

RunAmokRampant 10-25-2007 03:45 AM

Yer fair enough. I was going to say that the chick who plays Hermoine is better looking but whatev man.

I'm Alan by the way too.

TheBigMachine 10-25-2007 03:53 AM

Awesome man.

So guys, writers block. Gay.

RunAmokRampant 10-25-2007 03:57 AM

I think this whole forum is in a state of writers block. Free writing generally helps stir some ideas.

TheBigMachine 10-25-2007 04:05 AM

Ive tried, trust me.

It's really annoying actually, I had a burst where I wrote a piece a night of decent quality and havent written since.

Surtr 10-25-2007 04:19 AM

Happens a lot it seems.

I was blocked during the summer, had an outburst come September and then went back into my writers block state.

RunAmokRampant 10-25-2007 04:28 AM

Reading poetry helps, listen to music while writing can help too.

Surtr 10-25-2007 06:50 PM

Mhm, though I find it's way better to have some guitar and drums sorta' instrumental stuff, or I find my favorite and best one is to check out a really cool quote, or short story or a point in History, put on a song (Usually for me it's Orchestral, or Chamber Choir stuff) that reflects best my chosen topic, and you just go with it.

It's a really cool way to go about it, as it gives you a topic, a emotion through music and if you just let it soak in, you can paint it back onto the page with it all combined, and your own stroke added.

5 times? Man this place is so dead that if I did that I would feel weird for talking to myself. lol

class 10-25-2007 10:20 PM

Hah...I'll talk back...I havn't been around much in the last 2-3 months, but hopefully I can ease back into it all.

Surtr 10-26-2007 01:58 PM

I'd post here.

The forums is slowly turning crap all over.

The Pit, and my good ol' Hometown of Pop-Punk died a while back to..MxUK thread is cool, but there's like a page a day and that's it.

:(

Surf 10-26-2007 03:03 PM

I try and post sometimes. But the lack of internet and work and stuff keeps me away.

I listen to alot of Brian Eno when I write, or post-rock or electronica. Things without lyrics.

Surtr 10-26-2007 03:50 PM

Things without lyrics tend to work wonders at writing more original work when you're at the desk with a pen and paper, or at the laptop..<_<..Either one lol
