Pretty much. Her friend was being just as friendly as well. Was odd.
|
haha, that does sound a little odd.
maybe your girlfriend put them up to it to see if you'd cave in? got your package today haz....1 thing though, the keygen for ezdrummer was apparently a trojan and it got deleted when i extracted that file, so could you post serial codes for claustrophobic, twisted kit & nashville kit? or just one code if that's all that's needed. |
So, for my philosophy course have to basically prove God exists (urgh from an atheist's pov). I have come up with the following, does it convince you?
For every bit of this world to exist as a separate entity, there's a probability of 1/2 (ie. to be / not to be). Now if we take two separate entities and want them to coexist, the probability will be the multiplication of each one's probability, which will be (1/2)^2. Now as the number of entities increases from 3 to 4 and goes up to infinity, then (1/2)^n (where n represents the number of entities involved) approaches 0. This means that the probability of existence of this world is very near to zero. Now for this world to exist then, there has to be an entity of probability one to be the cause of this whole phenomenon we call the universe. That entity of 100% existence is God. |
I hereby decree that it is a requirement of citizens of this fair thread and sneaky-subforum to rate Catfight On A Hotdog on Sputnik Music. Failure to do so will bug me greatly.
|
can i use this login/password for sputnik? or do i have to sign up again?
|
Yup.
|
nah, sorry chu, doesn't convince me :(
The probability is all true, but the end reasoning is a leap of faith which doesn't work |
Urgh, I know :(
It's just so difficult for me to even tell myself God exists :( I had to *somehow* tie my knowledge of mathematics into the argument, and using probability is the easiest way. The fact of the matter is, for every action there is a reaction (i.e. there is a cause to all events, re: the big bang etc.), and how can I model God into that framework? If there's a very small chance that something exists, but we know it exists, something must account for that small chance, and I'm trying to pull God in as a placebo for this. I am definitely not a religious philosopher. |
Remind me to never drink again.

hey Alf, you should never drink again.

Your probability theory can never prove than God exists, the best it can do is reason that there is an X factor in your probability framework that can be abritrarily assigned the label of "God" but that could just as easily be assigned the name "random chance", "?", "PC LOAD LETTER" or "William Dafoe" or, you can see where I'm going with this. It's totally a Kobayasi Maru test btw. |
Hey Matt[s]. Rate Catfight!!!!!!!!11!!!!1!!! I WANT SOMEONE TO RATE IT LOL

Yeah virus programs are probably supposed to delete "bad" things like keygens.

Aaron consider album rated.
Could rise with more listens, I've only listened once. |
Hey Shaun, what's been happening?
|
Kinda had to change my approach - what do you think of this version:
If God was omnipotent he could create a stone he could not lift, but by the fact he couldn't lift the stone he is not omnipotent. Proof by contradiction... or not? :p |
Haha ah yes.
The Spliff Conjecture. |
Hey Shaun, what's been happening?
Hey man, I've been a bit quiet lately Decided to take this semester off, filled out the paperwork today. Gonna find a job and work 4 or so days a week and earn some cash, carry on with the band thing and hopefully have something to release around July, like an EP or mini-album. Been getting a bit of rotation on fbi (and even got played once or twice on triple j) though we only have one song there, so we wanna get more going around. Other than that very little going on. How bout you? |
Nice man.
Not much, got a casual night fill job and trying to start up my CD printing business. Looking around for little opportunities with local bands who want smaller runs (<500) done. It's fun so far. I can make some nice stuff, gonna be setting up an online mail-order store for CDs/posters/merch too. |
hmm hushmail deactivated my email address and told me the only way i can reactivate is to upgrade to premium
