Oh yeah, we have one of those here. Kick arse place.
I was still full when I woke up this morning :erf:
/my therapy
It's no big thing. I haven't been in any accidents (knock on wood). It was just a brutal sports injury that I thought would get better with rest, but hasn't. Hence, physical therapy time.

To make matters less fun, my insurance didn't cover me for the therapy because it was such an old injury - only three visits until the New Year, and they're closed tomorrow.

However, my trainer was awesome and loaded me with exercises. I had to go buy a huge medicine ball (not the weight one, the big blow-up one). Pretty soon, I'll be back to where I was in terms of weights, and hopefully aerobics as well.

The exercises suck pretty hard, though, but at least they beat taking medicine all the time with the potential of getting a stomach ulcer down the line.
/New Year's plans
Last year, I went to bed at 10PM because I was too damn tired (and just didn't give a shit about the ball dropping to begin with). The same thing will likely happen this year, because I don't drink yet all my friends do, so they never call me unless they need a DD.
/showering
I shower everyday in the morning. If I work out, then I have to shower again because then I feel refreshed once again, and then I can fall asleep.

Question: have any of you played this board game called "Imagine If...?" It's pretty fun, some friends and I got together and we played a few rounds.

Basically, there are hundreds of card with scenarios on it. You roll a die to see who in the group you're going to be addressing. Here's an example card.

Imagine if ______ [scenario]. What would he/she be/do?
[Lists six options]

A clearer example:

So, the die is rolled, and it lands on ICB.

Imagine if Trevor accidentally ran over the neighbor's cat. What would he do with it?

1. Apologize to the neighbor.
2. Find another similar cat.
3. Bury the cat without telling anyone.
4. Have sex with the dead cat.
5. Keep on driving and leave it as roadkill.
6. Repeatedly back over the cat and run it over again numerous times.

(There were always one or two goofy options)

Each player, then, had six cards numbered 1-6, to match the options. When everyone chooses, they put their card face down. Then, in unison, the group flips over the card. Here's an example of the ICB card:

Doctor Night lays down a 3.
Shattered Future lays down a 1.
ICB lays down a 6.
Jom lays down a 3.
HeavyRiva lays down a 3.
ShadowsFallen lays down a 3.

It doesn't matter what ICB said, the majority rules, and they advance a space on the board.

Some of these cards were hysterical. It's also shocking how well we know each other (and how off we were sometimes).

...option 4.

Illmatic 12-31-2005 12:05 AM

So Lisa Lampanelli is on Comedy Central right now.

I love how she makes up for her lack of funniness with abrasiveness and vulgarity.

Is that for the secret stash? I also agree, she really isn't all too funny.

Illmatic 12-31-2005 12:19 AM

Yeah, it's secret stash.

Right before it (aka, non-secret stash), they had Chris Rock. Weird choice, some comics just weren't meant for censored TV.
Nas - Illmatic
:D :D :D :D

Gilmour 12-31-2005 12:19 AM

Oh yeah, new CDs today
New
Nas - Illmatic
Used
X-ecutioners - Built from Scratch
Used, someone must be retarded to let these go
Mercyful Fate - 9
King Diamond - The Eye

Kurtz 12-31-2005 12:26 AM

Speaking of purchases, for anyone that has Pulp - Different Class, is it worth getting? I listened to Mis-shapes and Something Changed, those rule.

NP Muse - New Born

God, she needs to be killed. Or something.

Kurtz 12-31-2005 01:19 AM

Alright, thanks.

I've been going through this fucking huge Britpop phase for the last couple months, it's insane.

i am the robots 12-31-2005 01:25 AM

I've been on a black metal bindge lately, but I'm finally killing it with my former power metal/melodic death metal whoring self.

gmoneyguy 12-31-2005 01:30 AM

i personally have ding deepin into the depths of metal, but i really consider myself a classic rock nut before a metalhead.

i am the robots 12-31-2005 01:32 AM

I'd consider myself very anti-classic rock :p.

It was killed for me by horrible middle school kids who obsess over Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd, they just make me cringe.

There is so much more too those bands, most of their best material is the stuff most people dont know of.

You should to get into bands that people dont over expose like dire straights, CSN, CSN&Y, etc.

i am the robots 12-31-2005 01:42 AM

Trust me, I know Zeppelin and Pink Floyd very well (I have 6 older siblings).

Wow, I thought i had big family.

Well too each their own.

i am the robots 12-31-2005 01:46 AM

We're Catholic + Eastern European :p, my family is nothing though, the one kid at my school has 12 siblings.

and yeah, I'll totally respect your choice to listen to whatever you want to as long as you don't act like it's the best thing since sliced bread :p.

It doesnt hurt to try to spread the word though.

Being that you are catholic, how are your parents about your choice of music?

i am the robots 12-31-2005 02:01 AM

Oh my God... rofl.

My parents stopped caring a while ago. I've actually told my mom I'm not Catholic, I just enjoy our local Church (I don't really follow any set sect of Christianity).

They used to be insane about the music I listen to though, I wasn't aloud to go to concerts for the longest time when they found out I wanted to see a band with an album called Satanica (Behemoth), but after a while I shut them up with stuff like Underoath and Winter's Haven and showed them that the religious background of the music I listen to doesn't matter to me at all.

Riva 12-31-2005 03:04 AM

I told my mum I was an Atheist, and she was fairly unconcerned. She just wanted to know if I was going to be one of those crazy amoral ones or a good natured ones.
