OrbDragon 07-31-2005 06:03 AM
Hooray for Orb! I still remember that his favorite song ever is "Undo" by Bjork :thumb:
Things change...I was a bit close-minded then. It's great to see so many old faces still here :D

br3ad_man 07-31-2005 06:09 AM

Man, now we just need Tapeworm and modrock back and Alt and Indie will be like the old days.

I Was A Kaleidoscope 07-31-2005 07:06 AM

These are some songs I'm liking at the moment.

Aphex Twin - 4
Autechre - Arch Carrier
Cursive - The Recluse
The Residents and Sir Millard Mulch have my attention at the moment.
They're bboth great.

Lately I've mainly been listen to Mad Sin (a great German Psychobilly band) and Madeline (a cool folk singer).

asdf 07-31-2005 10:26 AM

Sir Millard Mulch is so full of himself. My brother talks to him on another forum.

Is his full CD actually out yet?

I grew up listening to the residents. A few years ago I was really into them. They were my favorite band of all time. It's been awhile since I've really listened to them again.

I am loving World/Inferno Friendship Society right now. I have all their CD's downloaded and intend to buy every one of them.

Anxious 07-31-2005 11:31 AM

I'm not a big fan of anything Wire did after Pink Flag.

Iai 07-31-2005 11:37 AM

Muggs - Dust (3/5)

It's okay, I guess. Really inconsistent. Still, a couple of great songs.

Martha Wainwright - Martha Wainwright (3.5/5)

Could have been something really special if she switched up the pace a little more.
I am loving World/Inferno Friendship Society right now. I have all their CD's downloaded and intend to buy every one of them.
They're amazing.

What's your favourite album?

In my opinion East Coast Supersound Punk of Today is their best album easily. Just The Best Party and A Lexicon of Friends and Enemies are both great too. The True Stroy Of The Bridgewater Astral League has some good songs but isn't up to the standard of the others.

Interstate 07-31-2005 12:43 PM

The Shins - Oh, Inverted World

Yes Sir, that's one classic album.

The Dead Boys - Younger, Louder, and Snottier (The Original Cuts)

Luxor 07-31-2005 03:02 PM

Listening to Hail To The Thief for the first time all the way through. I'm more of an early Radiohead fan, personally.

white_riot 07-31-2005 03:26 PM

I've been listening to Bad Religion alot lately. I got How Could Hell be any Worse about 9 months ago and rarely listened to it and the other day I played it and realised it was awesome.

OrbDragon 07-31-2005 04:01 PM

Jaga Jazzist - What We Must
Stereolab - Oscillons From The Anti-Sun
Motorpsycho - Timothy's Monster
Morphine - Cure For Pain
The Delgados - Hate
Sebadoh - Harmacy

The first two are prolly the best two releases so far this year...IMHO.

asymm 07-31-2005 04:25 PM

No, it's a Stereolab compilation box. Features a bunch of unreleased material and some obscure EP stuff.

Little Man being Erased 07-31-2005 04:29 PM

Sigur Ros - ( )
Deltron 3030 - Deltron 3030

And I picked up Talkin' Honky Blues by Buck 65 and Boys Don't Cry by The Cure for cheap. So I'll be diggin' those for sure.

OrbDragon 07-31-2005 04:41 PM
No, it's a Stereolab compilation box. Features a bunch of unreleased material and some obscure EP stuff.
It's their best material so far IMO.

OrbDragon 07-31-2005 04:45 PM

Then again, I haven't heard Mars Audiac Quintet yet...am I missing out?

DrummerKevin 07-31-2005 05:12 PM

I've been getting into Silverchair recently. I love their Frogstomp album, and I've been listening to some stuff on Neon Ballroom.

Tangy zizzle 07-31-2005 08:20 PM

I bought Worst Case Scenario yesterday. Awesome.
