oic, that's how I kinda was with tennis this year. I wasn't in top 8 varsity, so I didn't go to all of the tournaments, only ones that they needed extra players in. It was ok, but I missed a few trips. I know how you feel.
You can even ask Brandon. Baseball is pretty much my life and I love playing. And now I have to go and play houseleague where there is no competition and the coaching sucks, rep isn't much better I guess.

I already know that from how much you talk about it on here, so I see how much you care about it.

Well, good luck with practice.

I'm going to go work on the tons of homework I have.

Later man.

Pazz 04-25-2006 06:58 PM

Later Justin, and thanks.

I'd just like to announce that I rock.

That is all.

Want to tell us why?

Permanent Solution 04-25-2006 07:42 PM

I started this end-of-the-year program that is basically the hardest thing we've had to do all year at about 3pm. I was figuring I'd have to work all night and some of tomorrow to get it done, if it was even possible.

Here I am 3 hours later with a finished and beautiful program :D

Good job Vince.

Mute Print 04-25-2006 07:49 PM

I just bought the new Taking Back Sunday and Saves The Day albums.

I've listened to a few tracks of STD so far, and I'm not sure if I like it. The vocals sound nothing like what I expected. They almost sound like the singing parts in some Fall Of Troy songs. :-\

Pazz 04-25-2006 07:50 PM

I'm jealous. I want the new TBS album.

Mute Print 04-25-2006 07:52 PM

I haven't listened to it yet. I hope it's good.

Thanks. :)

Just read about your disappointment. That sucks. I won't lie, I don't really know how it feels because I don't try hard at anything really. The most comparable thing might be menot getting my black belt the first time because they knew I wasn't trying. It pissed me off because I was the best on my team, but the only one not to pass. All I can say is work extra hard and show them you want it and they'd be even more foolish to not put you on.

The new TBS didn't do much for me. But I'm liking TAYF atm. I'm listening to the new Thursday now. It started exciting but I'm getting a little bored now.

A word from the wise, and I plan to follow it.

Permanent Solution 04-25-2006 07:57 PM

Bahhh, I'm far from wise :p

But it's like Rudy. If you show them you want it enough, they can't deny it to you.

B 04-25-2006 07:57 PM

New Thursday is great at the beginning but starts to die out towards then end with a couple good scattered songs.

Eh, I wouldn't say great. But I'd listen to it again. Now it's getting repetitive and kinda uninspired.

Yes. I don't usually think much of them regardless but I'm feeling TAYF for whatever reason...

B 04-25-2006 08:08 PM

Well, that's a given considering you don't like Thursday much to begin with.

TAYF is really good. A lot of that feeling is because it holds a TON of memories for me..

Actually that gives me a good idea.

Permanent Solution 04-25-2006 08:09 PM

I do too. I'm just bored of them. I own WATT and FC :)

I have no memories attached to it but eh, still fun.

Old TBS will always > New TBS.

I really wish they changed there name and I'd probably be more amazed by the stuff they put out. I just can't get it through my head yet but Louder Now has grown catchy IMO.

It's just that:

A) Adam has developed to being a much better vocalist, whether liked upon or not.

B) I don't like Fred's singing, I don't like how he tried to be John Nolan in WYWTB. I like his role alot better in Louder Now but god, some of his singing parts are rediculous. Have you ever heard his verse for set phasers to stun. I like that song up to when he has to start sounding like a monkey.

C) When you lose 2+ people in an original band, of course the band is going to change.

Positives:

+Matt Rubano is a better bassist, IMO.
+Fred may not be able to sing but I think he adds to guitar.

The new TBS is a good band on it's own.

Everytime someone says something you usually say you don't care for them much.

Indeed.

I'm not actually going to stay up late today. Goodnight Vince.

Dan: I agree actually. If they didn't have the same vocalist, they would sound like a completely different band.

I do like Adam's improved vocals though, and they do have better bass/guitar(a bit). But nothing will ever beat duel vocals from Adam and John. Nothing.

I agree with you there too. Unfournately I don't get anything from Straylight Run at all. John could lead a band in vocals I don't doubt him at all, but for the type of music he does now and the potential shown on TAYF...

No comparison.

DJ Ducksauce 04-25-2006 08:51 PM

I like Adam's voice a lot. It's even really good live from the recordings I've seen.

CommieCanada 04-25-2006 08:53 PM

suck it

Straylight Run shows a hell of a lot more potential than Taking Back Sunday did. Straylight Run is excellent musically.

Special Brew 04-25-2006 09:15 PM

The new Underoath is alright so far. Sounds like they've gotten a bit heavier, not quite like they used to be though. I haven't given it a full spin yet though.

Hahaha, of course there is.

How can I be a snooty, elitist music whore if I like these catchy radio bands? :p

Be a snooty, eletist music whore who has a secret, evil second life.

Makes a better story line

Nah, my life's boring, what can I say? I try to be interesting and fail so badly :(

Hep Kat 04-26-2006 05:24 AM

You're not failing so badly.

Life is a boring thing. We all have to deal with it. Unless you live in a war-zone or something...

Mitch2oo6 04-26-2006 05:24 AM

Or in poverty. Like most people.

B 04-26-2006 05:59 AM

Vince doesn't have to worry about being poor the rich bastard.

New TBS is great, one thing i dont like about the album is its too short i think.

And ive always liked Adam's vocals.

I cant say if i prefer old or new, cause they sound so different, and i love them both.

/late.

That's the best kind of elitism there is. Just claim you find something deeper that's not apparent to the millions of other fans.

Yay for circle jerks i ****ing love them.

The Aprentice tonight yay. Neighbours soon too.

The Aprentice is funny, especialy at the begining, some of the descisions they make are ridiculas, i swear i could do better then a lot of them.
