EDIT: I saw "Wedding Crashers" for the first time today. Damn fine film, very funny. Vince Vaughan's lady is messed up, big time.
 Irony never ceases to amaze me. Whenever I'm watching a popcorn flick, someone else is watching a really artistic movie, and vice versa.

Slapping Penguin 01-15-2006 01:07 AM

Did you know out of fat, carbs and protein, FAT is the least filling.

blue3 01-15-2006 01:08 AM

No I didn't know that..
I drink milk when I eat cookies, that's it. And it has to be 2%
You are soo metal now.

I think that was the best movie of last year.

I like 1% milk the best because IMO it goes best with cereal.

Shadows 01-15-2006 01:17 AM

Is he metal? Whenever I talk about what I like to do in my free time, I don't feel metal at all. There just doesn't seem to be anything tr00 about loving to lay on the couch with a really soft blanket and a cat on my lap while drinking tea, but who decides these things anyway!? I guess it's because I've never associated metalheads with being cat people, and I love cats. I'm so feminine in many ways. :( Like this weekend at work - the woman in the coffee stand was showing me the herbal tea she had and pointed one out in particular. The "Passion" flavor smelled luxurious, and I bet it tasted great. I definitely need to get some.

NP: Crown of Horns, but I really need to go to sleep

blue3 01-15-2006 01:17 AM

I got corn pops cereal today. But I still think milk is gross.

Cain 01-15-2006 01:22 AM
 Irony never ceases to amaze me. Whenever I'm watching a popcorn flick, someone else is watching a really artistic movie, and vice versa.
Why, what did you watch? :p

That gay guy in the movie annoyed me because it implied that gay people don't actually pay attention to whether or not someone is gay when they target them for advances, which is silly: a gay person would probably be as unwilling to date a straight person of the same gender as a straight person would be to date a gay one. I liked him better as just a hopelessly socially challenged "artist." The movie was plenty funny without that other element to it.

Are you on Vicodin or something? :p

Steerpike 01-15-2006 01:23 AM
Why, what did you watch? :p
Sunset Boulevard. Aside from Double Indemnity, perhaps Billy Wilder's most classic film.

Cain 01-15-2006 01:25 AM
Are you on Vicodin or something? :p
Effexor, actually. I guess at heart I'm not a tr00 hxc death metaller at all. :p

Cain 01-15-2006 01:30 AM

Random thought: I wonder if a frantic mother somewhere, desperate to deny or change her child's homosexuality, has ever deliberately found a gay person who is nevertheless of the opposite gender, in the hopes that they will "be gay together." :p It strikes me as a logical step for someone like that to take, given parental illogic when attempting to modify a characteristic they have no control over or desire for in their children.

Maybe I need to go to bed too.

Too bad you didn't catch me last Saturday. I was watching Dr. No.

Tomorrow The Untouchables are on my list followed by Dial M for Murder.

Ahh! The Untouchables is so good!

"WHAT...ARE YOU..PREPARED TO DO?!"
"Here endeth the lesson."

Sean Connery just owns everything he's in.

I love Double Indemnity, despite how dated it is. I just love how he calls everyone babe.

Riva 01-15-2006 09:19 AM

Full fat milk is all I drink.

People are too worried about fats, proteins and carbohydrates in foods. They're all necessary, guys.

40 Year Old Virgin was great, much better than Wedding Crashers.

agrees. Steve Carrell is god.

Lord Abortion 01-15-2006 09:36 AM

I never drink full fat milk, or non-diet soft drinks(except Irn Bru)

I can't taste the difference, so why not take the healthier option?

Define healthier.

I will not die for drinking full fat milk. However, I will enjoy the knowledge that my cell membranes will not fall apart due to a lack of cholesterol.

And I don't drink soft drink, period.

Lord Abortion 01-15-2006 09:39 AM

Less fatty I suppose...

I get enough fat from the meat pies I eat.
I bow to your avatar Jason.
It is Godly.

I drink a hell of alot of Pineapple juice and Irn Bru, that's about it.

Stormrider 01-15-2006 09:39 AM

I dont drink soft drinks at all. Except for the Mcdonalds orangeade( word?)

I drink a alot of grapefruit juice though.

Kingofdudes 01-15-2006 09:48 AM

Im trying to quit sodas, but its hard due to them being available at every restaurant ever, and the alternative is dirty tasting water.
On the subject of milk, I can't stand the stuff unless I have it with something (waffles, cereal, brownies), yet I work in the dairy department at a grocery store.

NP: Barenaked Ladies - Maroon

Im convinced that BNL is one of the greatest bands of the 90's.

Stormrider 01-15-2006 09:48 AM

If theres one thing i need to quit its chocolate milk. I used to take some everyday at school.

Lord Abortion 01-15-2006 09:49 AM

So, You enjoying Jom's salty man-juice with that BNL comment?
:p

Uhm...am I the only person here who is content with drinking water? It quenches my thirst a hell of a lot more than soda or Gatorade.

Shattered_Future 01-15-2006 10:10 AM

Riva, your avatar is the 2nd coolest one I've ever seen, aside from that one dude's who had all the circulating Jessica Alba pictures.

Soda I'll have every so often, usually when we go out to dinner...we never have it at the house.

I drink a riduculous amount of skim milk and orange juice though.

Riva 01-15-2006 10:11 AM

I drink tons of water, mostly because I still have access to pure, clean water straight from the tap.

Lord Abortion 01-15-2006 10:12 AM

Yeah, I drink water for most meals, cartainly my evening one, I might have Irn Bru once or twice a week, and a can for lunch. But mostly water.

King_Of_Terrors 01-15-2006 10:24 AM
If theres one thing i need to quit its chocolate milk. I used to take some everyday at school.
That's the best thing at school. Sometimes they have Gatorade, but I get chocolate milk, it's free with the 1.75 school lunch :p

gillygan 01-15-2006 10:28 AM

They have awsome chocalate milk at my school. I drink 2 things of it everyday.

Why was the top 100 drummer poll shut?

Nah, I drink loads of water. I don't drink much else when I'm thirsty actually.

On a side note Necrophagist's Epitaph is brilliant.
Full fat milk is all I drink.
Good man.
I never drink full fat milk, or non-diet soft drinks(except Irn Bru)
There may be less calories or whatever in those diet options, but aren't those artificial sweeteners much worse for you otherwise?

Lord Abortion 01-15-2006 10:35 AM

I don't care, as long as I don't become fat again, I really would rather be unhealthy.

you're a skinny bastard anyway. unlike me.

anyway, so how is everyone? i'm getting a bit stressed at the moment, i have an interview at Durham University tomorrow, and i'm really not looking forward to it - Durham's where i really want to go, and if i screw this up...

Yeah, but I didn't used to be.

I got a letter of Rejection from Leeds.
It's my own fault really. Not enough about the drama side of the course in my Personal statement.
Meh, I have other options.

Stormrider 01-15-2006 10:43 AM

I drink tons of water. I have very good tasting water that comes from my chalet up north...
That's the best thing at school. Sometimes they have Gatorade, but I get chocolate milk, it's free with the 1.75 school lunch :p
I dont like Gatorade or Powerade. Chocolate milk use to be 90 cents at my school, there now a dollar, unless you want the big ones which cost 1.85.

I eat a bunch of food, non healthy food, and i never gain weight...

Lord Abortion 01-15-2006 10:46 AM

Was it the Groping girl, you think?

Josh-Manchester will hopefully be my port of call.

i may go there if i get rejected from Durham, it's good for gigs, and it's a good course.
