Never heard of those two bands. Guess I will check them out.

Do you have any more recommendations for Doom Metal bands that don't really have harsh vocals(somewhere along the line of Candlemass, Electric Wizard).

Thanks again

Mael Mordha, Isole, Reverend Bizarre off the top of my head. I'm assuming you know Solitude Aeturnus and Warning already, they're the only doom that I mentioned before with clean vocals.

Russell 05-09-2008 08:02 AM

Acid King
Ufomammut

in addition

FatalEnergy 05-09-2008 08:02 AM

Reverend Bizarre is my favorite doom band, so I can help but recommend them repeatedly.

My search has begun!

Xplisit 05-13-2008 12:51 PM

I tried getting into stoner metal, first band I tried was Candlemass; epic fail.
I tried getting into stoner metal, first band I tried was Candlemass; epic fail.
I don't think it was Candlemass that did the failing.

Xplisit 05-13-2008 12:58 PM
I don't think it was Candlemass that did the failing.
Decent comeback, but really. I didn't enjoy myself.

Kage 05-13-2008 12:59 PM

That's doom metal, not stoner. Try checking out more avenues of the movement before you give up on it.

I don't hear any recommendations. Show me the light, man.

gmoneyguy 05-13-2008 01:08 PM

Sleep - Sleep's Holy Mountain.

Kage 05-13-2008 01:26 PM

I would have gone with Sleep's Dopesmoker.

Also check out Om - Conference of the Birds.

gmoneyguy 05-13-2008 01:32 PM

I think SHM is a bit easier to digest for someone new to the genre.

Kage 05-13-2008 02:17 PM

Good point.

Eliminator 05-13-2008 06:58 PM

church of misery - master of brutality

Shattered_Future 05-13-2008 08:09 PM

I'll third SHM and put up one for Penance - Proving Ground.

Oh, and Bongzilla - Amerijuanican.

Eliminator 05-13-2008 08:11 PM

nightwish - oceanborn

gmoneyguy 05-13-2008 08:49 PM

Lee, do you have Trouble - One for the Road?

pate 05-13-2008 08:52 PM

No. It sounds familiar though.

gmoneyguy 05-13-2008 08:57 PM
