Oh, I didn't think you two got along? Yeah I just...I thought you didn't want to see me choosing her side, is all. But if you're pals, then cool, I wish the best for both of ya. :thumb:

Plan B. 09-27-2005 09:14 PM

I'm getting ready to say goodbye, the scab is hurrying the process, but Mr. Infection might delay things a little while longer, so we'll have more time together.

poppinfresh 09-27-2005 09:16 PM

does anyone want to buy my movie. It was five dollars but because of exceptionally good sales that went far beyond the projected sales there will be a 20% sale from now until i get greedy. Please let me know if oyu want a copy. If you buy two i will also include an autographed photo, if you knew what i would be dressing up in you would definetley get two.

rockindrummer 09-27-2005 09:42 PM

Good luck jim, you'll do well trust me :thumb:

It sucks my band is kinda going down to shits too. We jammed like everyday for the whole summer, or atleast everyday when everyone was around. Though now that school has started we have just stoped jamming. It doesn't help that both my guitarists have rugby everyday except for fridays. So we go to jam on friday and normally saturday but nother ever gets done and we just end up hanging out. I think we are going to switch places and start jamming at my house, as it is less "distracting", as one of my guitarists says, here, although I doubt that it can be that much more distracting down there than at my house. The plus is I get to play my kit instead of his shatty one, so it's all good. Hopefully switching up the area will spark some insperation and then we can get back on track.

poppinfresh 09-27-2005 09:45 PM

it seems like you need some kind of motivation. Try setting a goal to get out and do a coule of gigs by a certain time, but it oenst seem like that will be enough, try signing up to play somewhere without telling them until the next day.

Double Bass Jim 09-27-2005 09:56 PM

Thanks for the goodluck wishes guys, means alot

rockindrummer 09-27-2005 10:23 PM

^ No problemo jimmy.

We have already played a couple gigs and everything went very well on both of them. Through out the summer we practiced for a gig we had at the end of the summer and also made some new stuff. After our gig we started to make apc type music and our guitarist/singer didn't really want to do that type of music so stuff just kind of stoped and we've been taking a break for a while. Them having rugby everday doesn't help either. I would try to get a gig together but we are to young to play at most places and our guitarist/signer wants to not gig for a while so organizing a gig like that would not end up very well. I have a feeling that after rugby ends we will start jamming more and stuff will go back to how it was last year and during the summer.

Maybe we need a break though, I mean we jammed like every free day, which was everyday except wednesday, for about three quaters of the school year last year. Then almost all of the summer, but to tell you the truth I didn't even notice it really apparently it got to much for, again, my guitarist/singer.

poppinfresh 09-27-2005 10:30 PM

it seems like you were practiin too much, right now it seems like things have calmed down, and that might help actually but i used to parctice 5 days a week and things got really stale and we werent getting anywhere, it got boring, i think after rugby things will look better.

rockindrummer 09-27-2005 10:33 PM

^ Ya that's what i'm hoping too.

Tim 09-28-2005 03:03 AM

KABLOOEY is your extra credit points. assuming this is for school. the teacher will forget how uninformational it is and shazzam. D+ :D

Voodoo Rabbit 09-28-2005 03:07 AM

I have to make the question...

at drumoff they provide the kit. you bring your own sticks if you want. sometimes they let you bring your own pedal .

Drum Phil 09-28-2005 05:15 AM

Spose that eliminates unfair advantage of having stuff other people dont.

Well as of today im tryin to kick the habit :)

The habit being smoking

Voodoo Rabbit 09-28-2005 01:26 PM

^ Good for you. Whatever 'the habit' may be...
----
There was a thread made a few days ago, by someone wanting pictures for their 'Drumming Wall'...

(I just thought it would be more 'board-friendly' to post in here, instead of making a whole new damn thread)

Can I just say - SORRY

...For not posting when I said I would, I feel rather bad about it...

Drum Phil 09-28-2005 02:13 PM

"the habit" is smoking. I managed to go down from 20 to 4 already :D *proud* plus i figured out i'll save over £1000 a year

Voodoo Rabbit 09-28-2005 02:16 PM

Well, that is an achievement.
Congrats.

Just wait until you start rocking back and forth, sweating like a pig, wanting a fix of that thing...

Drum Phil 09-28-2005 02:23 PM

Im already rocking back an forth :(

And its nicotine, not heroin :p im not gonna go all cold an clammy. Off down the pharmacy tomorrow for some nicotine lozenges :D

Voodoo Rabbit 09-28-2005 02:25 PM

Yeah, I know it's not heroin!

It's just, some people I know that've had experiences with 'Quitting' have turned REALLY desperate...

cos you know that i can 09-28-2005 02:27 PM

Nicotine is actually more addictive than heroin...

And with those words of encouragement, I wish you good luck!

Drum Phil 09-28-2005 02:28 PM

Spose it might happen if i tried cold turkey. But i never had the willpower to do that.

Voodoo Rabbit 09-28-2005 02:37 PM

Get that job in tesco you were talking about a while back.

Then you'd have enough moeny to fuel your addiction, and (maybe) a little left over.

(FYI - I do not actually advise doing this)

Drum Phil 09-28-2005 02:40 PM

A job would help like. It'd give me something to do to keep me mind off it.

Jezen 09-28-2005 02:40 PM

Anyone else listen to the Guano Apes? They deserve alot more publicity than they get.

Voodoo Rabbit 09-28-2005 02:44 PM

I've heard of them, but I cannot remember where...

----

I was just listening to 'The Mediaeval Baebes' and am about to listen to 'KMFDM'...

Just for the record...
Nicotine is actually more addictive than heroin...

It's more addictive but not nearly as hard to come off.

I quit cigs in about 2 months, been clean for over a year.

Josiah 09-28-2005 03:25 PM

But nothing is as addictive as drumming.

Der Meister 09-28-2005 03:26 PM
