Well, I finished my entry for the Melodic Death comp, and I need some help: can someone convert my songfile (m4a or AIFF) to mp3 for me so I can host it on the soundclick? And conversion software is not easy to come by on a Mac, BTW. :)

Get out of the road, if you want to grow old. |
Sugarhill gang had like one good song.
I think most peoples problem with rap is that it's not musical enough. IF you feel this way you should turn to the greatest alt rap group ever: Tribe Called Quest. There mellow, flowing lyrics mixed with jazzy backrounds makes them the quintessential alternative rappers. Another really good rap song is double dutch bus. I don't know who raps it though. |
The Roots are cool.
/didn't contribute, but I did see them at the Sprite Remix tour a couple summers ago. |
Cain, you can do it using iTunes. :)

The iTunes conversion is to m4a (MPEG4) not mp3. |

(im a bit drunk so sorry for the ranting post but still) :( |
Is the MX clock an hour slow now?
|

You can change it in preferences I think it is...*checks* Yeah, edit->preferences->import->use mp3 encoder :) |

I didn't post, but you introduced me to them awhile ago :) |
Ahh, alright. Still, i got a great response.
NP : As I Lay Dying - Forever. Thank you YSI thread! |
Hey everybody, listen to my entry for the melodic death metal contest. Tell me if it's appropriate to the genre. :) Suggestions, comments.
Please? zepfan, I figured that out with the help of br3ad man, but thanks anyway. :) I appreciate it. |
Greetings and salutations.
I really don't have much to catch up on in the thread, but I just have a suggestion for CemeteryGates: stop using Google for gay porn, please. Do yourself a favor and have your parents adjust the parental controls. See if they can block this site as well. Awesome. Work was good today, a bit crazy, but it opens Monday. "We're going live," as they say. But no one cares about that, so I'll stop here. Last night I had a ballgame, I slid in shorts. Yeah, definite scrape all over my leg. It was an idiotic slide, too, because I didn't need to slide. But oh well. We won 19-7. EDIT: Derrhrrhrr, I think I already mentioned that. Sorry, my memory blows :( /// WARNING: don't read this last part unless you're bored as hell. In case anyone cares, I went to a friend's house to play Scrabble. She is friggin' amazing at that game. She crushed me and one of her best friends... so she puts the scorecard in the box so she can gloat about it later. Yeah, I definitely stole it and made a blog entry to show off her awful math skills. Original scorecard /me circles a bunch of random crap What the numbers mean: 1. Notice how Shelby is going first. Instead of drawing one tile to see who goes first like any true champion plays, she says, "Uh, this is how I wrote it, so I'm going to go first so I don't get confused." Everyone who plays Scrabble KNOWS that the person who goes first gets a double word score right off the bat (the star square), so that's a bunch of BS, I tell you ! 2. I was within six points of her ! Too bad it would be my smallest margin :-\ 3. What a crock of shit ! Shelby gets ready for her last turn... AND SPELLS A SEVEN-LETTER WORD WITH BOTH BLANKS IN HER ARSENAL ! Seriously, what the hell is up with that? To make matters worse, she built off another word, and hit a TRIPLE WORD SCORE. She got 74 points for that. Crazy. And also, that's how she ended the game ! Who the hell finishes a game of Scrabble with a seven-letter word? Honestly. 4. Uh, yeah. I finished with 121 points. Sweet. 5. Kim had something like six letters left when Shelby went out... and they were all 3 and 4 point letters. She had all the W's and M's in the game, it seemed. So yeah, -20 point deduction hurts you in Scrabble. And, my personal favorite: 6. Way to add, fartknocker ! /// So. What's everyone doing for Mother's Day (if anything)? |
Hello everyone.
I got the best sleep I've gotten in a long while last night. Sleeping in my own bed is terrific. I went out for a run today even though it was about 50 degrees and rainy (New England weather...gotta love it). That's okay though, I like running in cold and rain better than running when it's warm and sunny. You're less likely to get hot and comfortable, the sun's not in your eyes, and it's very quiet and peaceful. Everyone stays inside so no one is out there to bother you. I dunno. I got in touch with some of my old high school friends. Most of them will be coming back home within the next two weeks. I also went to go see my friend (the one who I've told you guys about in the past) and she was thrilled to see me again, and we hung out for a while. The way she greeted me and how happy it was to see me, it made me feel good inside. And then I had a home-cooked meal for the first time in a long time. Superb as usual. |
Home-cooked meals are one thing that I am looking forward to very much, after a year of dining on glorified cafeteria meals. The best things to eat here are the waffles, and you make those yourself. :-/

My home clock says 8:41, and my MX clock says 7:41
AH, yesterday we had a Super Smash Bros. tournament and James came over with Phil. Weird! |

I owned that game so much. I was the local master. |
We actually played Melee. I found out I'm a lot worse with the Gamecube controllers.
|
I'm calling my mom for mother's day if I remember...because I'm still at school, writing essays and labs and studying...or not doing as I'm on mx...meh. I was totally unworried about finals until yesterday, but now I'm super-stressing :( I need to relax like usual or I will do poorly heh.

AH, yesterday we had a Super Smash Bros. tournament and James came over with Phil. Weird!
Check your options, maybe you accidentally moved it to CST or it did it for you for some reason? Nah, that's not that weird, really :) Their family is extremely close, it's actually quite surprising. But it's also pretty cool how tight-knit their family is. James always says how he'd rather be home doing stuff with his family when he doesn't go out with friends, so that's pretty cool. Phil is going to U of M to run, while James wrestles there... so those two are going to be hanging around even moreso. It probably helps that their ages are so close, too. |
Who are James and Phil?
Also, I have 8:54 but according to MX it's like 7:02 So anyway, the Celtics can't win a playoff game at home  Next time any of you watch a basketball game, be sure to mute it and play jazz over it or something. Completely enhances the viewing experience. Also, I hashed some things out and Amy (my girlfriend) will probably be coming here near the end of May and will then join us to Chicago. /people also ignored my first post which makes me sad :( |
James and Phil are friends from back home. Aaron and I are from the same town, that's all, as are the brothers.
God dammit, I wanted Boston to win. Now we have to sit through two weeks of the brawl being shown on ESPN, and then the bomb threat escapade, and all that other bullshit. Fuck. Pistons in five, but four would be ideal (a) |
Am I missing a game right now?
I've really been wanting to watch an NBA game all day. Preferably Pistons, but it doesn't matter. For the record, should I refer to you as "Jim" or "Jom". I don't get the internet. (or AH is still cool too) Also for the record, what college are you at? I don't remember. |

No, Celtics vs. Pacers is the only game right now. The Pistons wrapped up their series days ago. Then Rockets vs. Mavericks at 9:30.
The Celtics and the Bulls are both out of it :( Well, my champion pick (Spurs) and the team I like the most out of the teams that are left (Sonics) are alive. Also, Elisha Cuthbert is a fox. |
Oh, whoops, I thought that with Ray's post he said that Boston lost ("Boston can't win a game at home" = aww, man...). That's my fault.
As for what you can refer to me as on MX, I have no preference, just don't call me "Jim" because everytime I see it, I just assume that it's for DBJ... especially when I'm in the Site forum. I'll see something like, "Hey Jim, question..." and I'll think, "Wow, someone wants to ask me something " but then I realize it's for DBJ, and I can't condition my brain to think that it's only for DBJ and not myself. So, yeah, I have no preference, just don't call me by my nickname. You can call me "faggot," if you must, just not in any of the forums that DFelon mods... but I won't mention any names, Vince. :nudge nudge wink: |
Can we call you Jimmy?
EDIT: The Pacers are winning 86-62 so it's practically over anyway |
I would go crazy if I rooted for the Celtics. I don't think I've seen them show up at home this year (not that I watch a whole lot of Celtics games, but still).
