i looked at one for a while before i got my dean they seem a bit fat |
... Elaborate.
... Elaborate.
they seem like a regular bass shape - but a bit wider - they look like a distorted version of the norm and the elctronics arent all too good |
How can the electronics be bad with standard passive bass controls?
And thanks on the "fat" tip. They aren't the greatest looking basses, but they are original, not to mention, I don't have anyway of hitting my band mates wih no head. |
Hey guys I'm back.
Hey man.
http://www.line6.com/variaxBass/demo.html Steinberger = second Alchemy |
That abss is awesome, I've played one before. Slapping sounds so nice on it when you put the selection thing to "Thump"

I see you're quite a computer-y person too :) Nice Dean bass you got there! :D
skype phones is what you plug into the computer using USB port then make a phone call over the internet - and it only costs the rate of a standard local call to wherever youre calling - my dad uses it because for his work he phones loads of people abroad he rang my uncle in singapore the other day and it was a clear phone line and only the cost of local calls in singapore and buy my acoustic already |
Getting hit by the head of a thunderbird is pretty nasty... I have nearly knocked out on of my guitarists twice thanx to my old one... The thing is so bloody long...
hey guys, whats up
Not much, I'm checking out the Line 6 bass, it's really interesting, and I plan on picking on up in the future.
They apparently sound great, really good reproductions of classic basses but the feel of instrument is apparently very cheap and not too great. Playability isn't meant to be too great either...
I'm not going to save up for a Line 6 (which was an original idea) because of the lack of frets... Call me picky, but from now on, I need to be able to easily reach atleast the 21st.
Yea, I've played it, it's alright, it's got GREAT sounds, it's raelly amazing, it would be so much better if they felt just as good as they sounded.
I've heard they feel like a jazz. Nothing bad there.
Hey, has anyone else played Steinbergers? Jaco Jr: I checked the site, and it seems you played an old Z series; the new ones are slimmer and lighter. |
THe variaxes are brilliant! Ive played one for about 6 hours over the course of a week when I was working in a music shop.
They are soooo versatile and I can get so many tones out of it its amazing! And the neck is a really nice size and feels great. The only problem is there are hollow spots and theres a hollow spot under the strings and near the G string, which annoyed me when my fingers were hitting the hollow pickguard area when popping |
Jame: If you stare at your avatar, it seems to be getting faster and faster every time...
his avatar makes meh feel sick... :upset:
I did it then, and it actually does. And who here actually plans on buying a Line 6 Variax bass? *raises hand*
So... No one has played a Steinberger :upset:?
I dont plan on buying one unless im really rich :thumb:
My avatar is the best in the world! |
