SFA, Presets and Sly would be worth it.
I'm about to start fuelling up then get my nicety's on, get loved up and go and groove my shit off to Pig Out. If you don't know them then pffffft. |
I think Zeitgeist is my new favorite Pumpkins CD.
So Daydream Nation was pretty cool live. For their encore they did like the first half of Rather Ripped.
lol what kind of encore is that |
I liked Rather Ripped, but that's pretty ****ing lame. For the encores they should do Death Valley 69, Schitzopherinia, Mote and Express Way to Yr Skull.
|
hey guys we just performed our best album in full
now we're going to play rather ripped!! aren't you psyched?! |
lol
|
Elim's just mad.
And so am I because I would have gone but I have to work. |
Which one is this?
Truck Festival in Oxford.
It's just a small local thing really but had some bigger acts like Brian jonestown Massacre, Jack Penate, Lethal Bizzle, Metronomy and others. Anyway never mind out, turns out the other thing was really good. Patrick Wolf and the Presets were ace, and it was actually really great seeing Blondie. |
hey guys we just performed our best album in full
I thought they were playing Daydream Nation? |
i see what you did there
|
Like you would give a **** what they played for their encore if you had just seen DN in full Eliminator.
|
I'm glad for you, really I am :)
So, Pig Out last nite/this morning was pretty bitchin'. I don't really much buy into this techno lark, esp. not nu-rave kinda scene - but these guys/girl really do party. |
Like you would give a **** what they played for their encore if you had just seen DN in full Eliminator.
true but i haven't so i'm going give a **** for no reason really |
By "play Rather Ripped" i meant "play incinerate then reena then do you believe in rapture"
|
i see slint tomorrow.
|
I ****ing hate you.
|
the mailing list sure has gone to shit ever since mote took over.
|
I work, so I can't go see Slint tomorrow :(
|
You guys, Slint's Spiderland show is not as good as listening to the album in your bedroom.
|
Slint is not good.
|
Wtf
|
What?
|
I don't know you seem like a pretty chill person, but you're the last person who should be criticizing people's taste in music. If I remember correctly you said you got all of your music from the Pirate Bay.
|
Woah chill man, what's wrong with pirate bay anyways?
|

You remember incorrectly. I use Pirate Bay like maybe once every two months, and that's only for films. Nice try, though. |

I don't know whether he was pissed at me or you lol |
Spat Out Plath banned me, how gay is that.
You guys, Slint's Spiderland show is not as good as listening to the album in your bedroom.
I find this hard to believe. Especially when the dude at the record store who always wears a Slint shirt was raving so much about it when he saw it in the UK. |
I can kinda see where dude's comin' from. Spiderland is one of those albums that becomes very personal to whoever's listening to it and different people will conjur different thoughts (yes this applies to most music but this record esp.) and feelings toward whilst listening.
So yeah, perfect bedroom music really. Still, live would be intense. |
Seeing Spiderland live would be out of this world. Stuff like that never comes to Sydney :( or anywhere in Australia.
|
It wasn't bad live by any means. It was cool. But I love the album, and that's really the only reason it was cool. It's not much of a show. They also take an immense amount of time between tunes, without any sort of filler at all (just dead space), and the band was generally just not into the set.
|
Fair enough. I'd still pay big money to see it though.
Stuff like that never comes to Sydney
At least you get Blonde Redhead and Battles. |
I wanted to go to Bonde Redhead, it's tonight! But I was supposed to be playin in some show at school and it got cancelled. By then it was too late to organise:(
I didn't even know Battles were coming, I'll look into that, thanks Bread. |
guys i think i might just listen to idaho the rest of my life idk if i'll be coming in here any more :/
|
saw slint tonight. they played spiderland than slint ep than some song i didn't know that sucked.
