Tangy zizzle 07-21-2007 06:10 AM

SFA, Presets and Sly would be worth it.

I'm about to start fuelling up then get my nicety's on, get loved up and go and groove my shit off to Pig Out. If you don't know them then pffffft.

Radiobass81 07-21-2007 07:38 AM

I think Zeitgeist is my new favorite Pumpkins CD.

Eliminator 07-21-2007 07:46 AM
So Daydream Nation was pretty cool live. For their encore they did like the first half of Rather Ripped.
lol what kind of encore is that

Boilermaker 07-21-2007 09:26 AM

I liked Rather Ripped, but that's pretty ****ing lame. For the encores they should do Death Valley 69, Schitzopherinia, Mote and Express Way to Yr Skull.

Eliminator 07-21-2007 09:28 AM

hey guys we just performed our best album in full

now we're going to play rather ripped!! aren't you psyched?!

Boilermaker 07-21-2007 09:32 AM

lol

Anxious 07-21-2007 09:43 AM

Elim's just mad.

And so am I because I would have gone but I have to work.

Eliminator 07-21-2007 09:45 AM
Which one is this?
Truck Festival in Oxford.

It's just a small local thing really but had some bigger acts like Brian jonestown Massacre, Jack Penate, Lethal Bizzle, Metronomy and others.

Anyway never mind out, turns out the other thing was really good. Patrick Wolf and the Presets were ace, and it was actually really great seeing Blondie.

Tangy zizzle 07-21-2007 07:58 PM
hey guys we just performed our best album in full
I thought they were playing Daydream Nation?

Eliminator 07-21-2007 07:59 PM

i see what you did there

br3ad_man 07-21-2007 08:02 PM

Like you would give a **** what they played for their encore if you had just seen DN in full Eliminator.

Tangy zizzle 07-21-2007 08:03 PM

I'm glad for you, really I am :)

So, Pig Out last nite/this morning was pretty bitchin'. I don't really much buy into this techno lark, esp. not nu-rave kinda scene - but these guys/girl really do party.

Eliminator 07-21-2007 08:16 PM
Like you would give a **** what they played for their encore if you had just seen DN in full Eliminator.
true but i haven't so i'm going give a **** for no reason really

Zmev 07-22-2007 01:29 AM

By "play Rather Ripped" i meant "play incinerate then reena then do you believe in rapture"

pixiesfanyo 07-22-2007 01:33 AM

i see slint tomorrow.

The Great Decay 07-22-2007 01:34 AM

I ****ing hate you.

pulseczar 07-22-2007 11:16 AM

the mailing list sure has gone to shit ever since mote took over.

Anxious 07-22-2007 11:18 AM

I work, so I can't go see Slint tomorrow :(

Thanks 07-22-2007 11:24 AM

You guys, Slint's Spiderland show is not as good as listening to the album in your bedroom.

dei 07-22-2007 11:32 AM

Slint is not good.

Interstate 07-22-2007 11:38 AM

Wtf

dei 07-22-2007 11:39 AM

What?

Anxious 07-22-2007 11:46 AM

I don't know you seem like a pretty chill person, but you're the last person who should be criticizing people's taste in music. If I remember correctly you said you got all of your music from the Pirate Bay.

Interstate 07-22-2007 11:51 AM

Woah chill man, what's wrong with pirate bay anyways?

dei 07-22-2007 11:53 AM

You remember incorrectly. I use Pirate Bay like maybe once every two months, and that's only for films. Nice try, though.

I don't know whether he was pissed at me or you lol

Pherton Skeurton 07-23-2007 09:19 PM

Spat Out Plath banned me, how gay is that.

br3ad_man 07-23-2007 09:39 PM
You guys, Slint's Spiderland show is not as good as listening to the album in your bedroom.
I find this hard to believe. Especially when the dude at the record store who always wears a Slint shirt was raving so much about it when he saw it in the UK.

Tangy zizzle 07-23-2007 10:00 PM

I can kinda see where dude's comin' from. Spiderland is one of those albums that becomes very personal to whoever's listening to it and different people will conjur different thoughts (yes this applies to most music but this record esp.) and feelings toward whilst listening.

So yeah, perfect bedroom music really. Still, live would be intense.

sgrevs 07-23-2007 10:58 PM

Seeing Spiderland live would be out of this world. Stuff like that never comes to Sydney :( or anywhere in Australia.

Thanks 07-23-2007 11:22 PM

It wasn't bad live by any means. It was cool. But I love the album, and that's really the only reason it was cool. It's not much of a show. They also take an immense amount of time between tunes, without any sort of filler at all (just dead space), and the band was generally just not into the set.

br3ad_man 07-23-2007 11:59 PM

Fair enough. I'd still pay big money to see it though.
Stuff like that never comes to Sydney
At least you get Blonde Redhead and Battles.

sgrevs 07-24-2007 03:29 AM

I wanted to go to Bonde Redhead, it's tonight! But I was supposed to be playin in some show at school and it got cancelled. By then it was too late to organise:(

I didn't even know Battles were coming, I'll look into that, thanks Bread.

sexymuffin 07-24-2007 03:31 AM

guys i think i might just listen to idaho the rest of my life idk if i'll be coming in here any more :/

pixiesfanyo 07-24-2007 04:15 AM
