my thread wasnt a joke :(
ive never played a rogue. how is everyone? |
Just got back from dinner.
Back to homework and trying to see if I can become a Lutheran (parents said they'd support me ;D), though I still have an odd feeling in my stomach. And I'm waiting for Harrison at HG Thor Guitar Lab to get back to me on a quote for my uber bass. |
Foxfire: Post the quote when you get it please.
Jazzfunkboy: Sorry about that, in the past people have done that just to be funny. |
Optimus, transformz0r!

Conversion = win. Formal conversion, mind you.
|
Is it on DVD.
Yes, I've got the first three series of it. After that it became 'Yes, Prime Minister', and I've not got that yet... |
Umm... Congrats?
|
Thank you
|
It's the zenith of intelligent comedy. It's a depiction of political intrigue between the Government and the Civil Service, particularly between Minister Jim Hacker and the Permanent Secretary Sir Humphrey Appleby.
Put like that, it doesn't sound funny... but the writers got knighthoods and the two lead actors got CBEs.
Sound's like it's massively funny, I doubt they would have it at a video store? |
yes prime minister is hilarious, as is a lot of other british comedys. highly recommended
why do you want to be a lutheran? |
@ Fox: Lutheranism isn't too bad. Depends on which branch you're aiming for. I was ELCA, they're pretty laid back, and as I recall confirmation was a couple weeks of class, memorizing something (the Nicene Creed? I think?), and the typical go-to-church-and-recite-after-the-pastor thing.
Good luck with that, BTW. |
I got them all at my local HMV, so they can be found. They play on BBC3 every now and then if you have Digital.

I'm getting digital this week, and broadband.... happiness.....
|
Broadband is win. I remember when I first got Broadband. Holy CRAP I was happy.

After I got confirmed I think I went to church like three times a year. *shrug* |
Maybe I'll just stay Catholic. Like I said, money from relatives.
Plus I get to be all hXc and f1gh7 7h3 p0w3r LOLZ!!! Thanks for your input Shel. |

Okay, out of boredom and curiosity: how asian in the picture do I look, on a scale from 1-10? (1 being no resemblance and 10 being super asian) I get asked all the time if I'm Chinese, and I can't see the resemblance. Also, sorry the picture is crap quality; I took it using the worst quality on my camera and I was being a newb and left the flash on, aiming at me, with a mirror behind me. :p I also look dreadful in pictures. :p

Seven?
|
Id say a 7 at the most, 9 if you squint your eyes more.
|
6 or 7. I think its your nose, more than your eyes...
|
You look half-chinese, but not full.
|
ya 7 or so your room looks pretty clean
|
*looks into mirror and squints eyes* I get asked if I'm Chinese the most. One time I was at an arcade playing Tekken 2...this guy comes over, kicks my ass with Paul (same move OVER and OVER again...anyone who's played/plays Tekken a lot knows what I'm talking about) was being all loud and said to his friend "Man dude I'm so great. I'm even kicking Japanese kids' asses!" |
^^^ lol
|
Haha, that story rules.
And yeah, I know what you mean... Especially tiring when a 6 year old does it to you on Soul Calibur II while everyone is watching. |
He was a cretin.
People like that make me very very angry. |
You look half-chinese, but not full.
Best call I've ever heard. :p My nose is what I think makes me look most asian as well, Shel, but it's a characteristic that's most recognizable on Filipinos (i.e., my dad's side). When buying things from stores with a Filipino person at the cash register, I've gotten a few odd discounts, as well as the occasional "Are you Filipino? You have the nose." |
if you're not azn what are you????
i guessing german! |
Ha! I knew it!
Half Filipino... My first thought was that you look like an old friend of mine who was half Filipino! |
Only half asian, potatoe. ;) I've been asked if I was polish before?
My mom's side is British and Swiss. |
Polish?
I'd never think you were polish from that picture. |

I know a Filipino kid. And I have a Chinese sister, so I would honestly say you look more Filipino, you self-centered Asian.
|
Polish? Don't see that. If there was any eastern European it would be... Romanian.
|
I know a Filipino kid. And I have a Chinese sister, so I would honestly say you look more Filipino, you self-centered Asian.
you should talk you **** dirty bassist  |
ep: :p First thing I hear from people is "Are you Chinese?"
This kid I'd never talked to before was trying to strike up small talk. "So where you from?" he asked. "Whatcha mean?" "Are you guys from China or, what?" :p I have a tad of Chinese in me I think though, as well as a bit of Japanese. My mom has been talked to in Polish before. As far as I know the only European I've got is British and Swiss (unless you count the Spanish in Filipino blood ;p) |
People so tend to lump "asian" into such a broad category... Filipino is technically South Pacific, very similar to Hawaiian, Tahitian, et al.
BTW- very cute, if I may say so, Fox. ;) |
