There was thread started for this a quite a while ago, started by zepfan I think. It was also somewhat of a Gig Guide. Although it was run well, the forum didn't really put the effort into it and consequently it failed.

I also think there is another thread floating around the first few pages with the same intention as what your proposing, but it's not working very well.
