yeah, its just kind of a shame that people in the US don't seem to care. ask most people in the US about the US soccer team and they'll be like what soccer team.

to be honest, when i was watching them playing i was half expecting their names to all be rodrigues and santos and various other brazillian sounding names, but from what i've been told they're not all imported from other countries.

yeah the good players play for them coutries :)...but on the other hand if the us won we'd probably never hear the end of it... well from a select few anyways, it is just the confed cup...

in the spain match they had their chances and made some mistakes, also denied 2 peno's and jsut shabby defending, + 4 games in 8 days or something... but it is a game of two halfs and anything can go, they done well to get where they were...

i hate it too i hate most american sports especially watching on tv its too comercial and full of adds and stopin and startin, at least with football its 45 minutes a half no pissing about, i play the game a few times every week and playing since i was 6 or so, got mad big into it in the last year or so


but the soccer thing gets me, they kick an actuall ball shaped ball with their feet, why wudnt you wana call it football!

people in chicago are really fond of soccer. with the chicago fire team anyways. plus most of the bars around my apartment all have specials and a big turnout when the us team plays or for world cup stuff.. Of coarse chicago is like 70 precent imigrants...

That's f[size=2]u[/size]cking mint Zeke. It's like the best of Floyd's synth crap with this badass chilled bass synth going on.

sweet song zeke, that synth was awesome. i dont really like the drums sound very much though, what did you use? i think a smoother sounding snare, or lower velocity hits would work better for the song. also maybe a less tight metally kick too.

i need to pick up some monitors too, they're next on the list of stuff i have to get after some other stuff i have to get that i dont yet have enough money for D:

i've got some nice headphones but some nice monitors would work well for mixing, and to amplify my eventual axe-fx, so dual purpose, yay.


also zeke - are you still using a gt8 or did you get something else?

Drums are S2.0, completely vanilla. Didn't bother mixing them, as I said, speakers are slowly dying :( They weren't even that good to begin with, they do this proper weird thing now that if they're left on for and hour or so they just start buzzing madly. Switch them off - they still buzz. I have to isolate them from the mains to stop it o.O

to be honest i'm not a big fan of superior 2.0, everyone torrented it when it came out (including people who are bad at mixing) so pretty much all metal recordings now are using it. its almost as cliche sounding as dfh already haha. also its more of a rock-sounding kit i think, the kick especially is hard to fit into a metal mix well. that being said the metal foundry expansion pack thats out sounds like it might be awesome.

Yeah, I think it is. Tbh, I much prefer Addictive Drums, only problem with that is that it needs messing with for quite a while before it sounds ace. dfh,S2.0 and pals always sound pretty decent off the bat.

i prefer addictive drums too tbh. i just recently switched back to it (i had only used it very briefly before though)

Yeah, my mate told me how to find all the mixer presets and stuff, so that helped massively... started using it loads after then.

tbh i love superior's interface and effects.

addictive drums is cool too, but not as flexible. though massively more flexible and better sounding than DFH by far.

I buy analog Distorition Pedals becuse they sound real, they sound true... and with a real distorition pedal you can make any kind of music you want: Rock, Metal, Pop, Punk, and so on...
With Digital Distorition, you are limited to one kind of distorition, one genre, and so on...

It's interesting how a good song is a good song, even without stacked vocal harmonies, relatively nontraditional harmony movements (as far as popular music goes), etc. I'm pretty proud of myself.
