Well people who reply and say agreed and nothing else usually dont.
i would like to say that malcolm, of all people in the band is the most underated, not to take anything away from angus though
Oh hell yeah. I meant in terms of the great guitarists...

Malcolm is the rock behind the band. I remember hearing an Interview of one of the AC/DC DVD's, where Angus is talking about Malcolm. The interveiwer was asking Angus wether Malcolm could do some of the solo's that Angus plays on stage, and Angus said Malcolm could probably do them better. When AC/DC first formed, Angus was told he had to be the entertainer... Malcolm, Phil Rudd and Cliff Williams were just the hard stone behind the band. Angus said that Malcolm is far more important than he will ever be, seens as Malcolm keeps everything in place, and keeps the force driving.

Today I did a speech on AC/DC... Went down a treat.

downpaymentblues 03-02-2005 07:11 PM

AC/DC is simply a good hard rock band!

Burningjesus 03-02-2005 07:43 PM

I think AC DC are one of the best bands ever and angus young is one of the best and coolest guitarists ever. I have every song on tape and CD and there all originals.

Ballsack_AC/DC69 03-02-2005 08:18 PM

AC/DC is one of the best rock and roll bands out there today. They have for the majority very god songs with great guitar parts. I agree woth the fact that they are overated, but for the most part there music is liked by a lot of people from England to Sweeden to America. They are obviouosly doing something right if thier CD Back In Black has sold alone over 20 million copies world wide.

Angus Young is a great guitar player who is thought by many to be the best guitar player just because he can play solos that are mind blowing, but what most people miss is the fact that Malcolm the rhythm guitar from AC/DC is as good if not better than Angus Young. For example Malcolm wrote the intro lick for Back In Black and Angus has said he can't play it that exact way. Together the two of them wrote moost of the licks for their songs. Malcolm might have orginally played some lead but according to him it got in the way of his drinking.

Also, another comon argument about AC/DC is that Brian Johnson is better then Bon Scott or vice versa. The truth is that they both have their own style of singing or yelling in this case here. Brian Johnson has been with them longer so his voice sounds a little bit more natural because he has been with them for about 25 years and made more albn=ms with hem and most of there hits have been with him (i.e. back in black, for thoose about to rock, You shook me, thunderstruck etc.) but Bon was still a great singer and his life was cut short from drinking to much and choking on his vommit R.I.P. but he was and is a force to be reckoned with.

Youre name is Bon_Scottie reffering that you are a big fan yet you still dont know that phil wasnt the first drummer and Cliff wasn't the first bass player.

Finally someone who sees that Bon and Brian have there own great points. Just one thing Back in Black didnt sell 20 million worldwide, that was just in america. It was something like 40 million worldwide. What a great band.

Murder Sheep 03-02-2005 10:10 PM

AC/DC are just a smellier version of Led Zeppelin.

thunderzstruck 03-02-2005 10:47 PM

Alot of kids in my school wear Ac/dc shirts but have only heard Back in Black. It pisses me off

blue3 03-02-2005 11:00 PM

^ Same with my school.. a lot of the grade 7 kids have the 'For those about to Rock' shirt and I ask which singer they preferred and they don't reply..

YaNaSdEeP 03-02-2005 11:02 PM

Angus may not have the best solos, but he and the other members of AC/DC put on one hell of a show...and they can still do it as far as I'm concerned.

...to all the people who wear the ac/dc shirts but have only heard back in black, check out Razors Edge. Personally think its they're best work.

rippa32 03-03-2005 06:15 AM

^Yes very true, great albums. btw Is that Peter Garret in youre avatar?

ArcLite 03-03-2005 06:21 AM

I like Powerage and Dirty Deeds best.

rippa32 03-03-2005 06:22 AM

Dirty Deeds isnt one of my favourites although I like Problem Child and Jailbreak.

Are you just randomally looking to start an arguement?

I named Cliff and Phil, but didn't feel the need to name Simon Wright, Chris Slade, Mark evans, or Larry Van Kriedt, due to the fact that Cliff and Phil have been the main drummer/bassist over the years.

No I wasn't looking for an argument. Sorry if it sounded that way. Im just sick of people with names about ac/dc but obviously arent big enough fans to back it up. Looks like you know youre stuff though sorry about that. Not many know of Larry Van Kriedt.

TheSpecialist 03-04-2005 06:43 PM

Angus....Legend, He may not be the best player in the world but he sure can rock that SG of his. Bon Scott will always be the best singer theyve every had, and i salute Brian Johnsonn for taking his play as the front man but Bon Scott can not be beaten. You ppl are right of course the music does all sound the same and that is wot makes Ac/Dc who they are, its their own type of music, they created it and no one has ever been able to imitate it, sure you can play their songs but they never sound the same as what they do when they play. I have every Ac/Dc album ever recorded, including the rare ones and they are still in my top 5 bands. :thumb:

rippa32 03-05-2005 04:50 AM

They never needed much bass which is refreshing if you ask me. And what do you mean by the rare ones? None are really rare except some of the old singles on vinyl.

Bon_Scottie 03-05-2005 06:18 AM

Agreed.

Most of the so called 'rare' songs are available on the albums.

AB/CD 03-05-2005 07:51 AM

what about snake eyes u can only hear that on the heatseeker single crabsody in blue u can only hear on the original of the let there be rock album

TheSpecialist 03-05-2005 07:55 AM

I had my friend rip all his vinyls on to his pc and burn them to cd for me, they arent bad quality actually, i was quite suprised

Bon_Scottie 03-05-2005 08:40 AM

Niiice.

My Dad has a hell of a lot of vinyls, but he never was an AC/DC megafan. Most of his Vinyls are bands like Maiden, Motorhead, Sabbath...

How did he rip them onto his computer? I'd like to get hold of a few.

TheSpecialist 03-05-2005 09:26 AM

Ill speak to him, i think he hooked his stero up with his pc and jus rip it across thru a sound input, but ill speak to him and get back to you :thumb:
what about snake eyes u can only hear that on the heatseeker single crabsody in blue u can only hear on the original of the let there be rock album
Yeah snake eyes is rare but like all of AC/DC's rare stuff its only available on single. As for crabsody in blue its really easy to get the original Let There Be Rock album on CD in Australia. And for non Australians you could just get it imported.

Bon_Scottie 03-06-2005 05:58 AM

The one from the album 'AC/DC - If you want blood'?

I'm listening to it right now. 'Corse Bon Scott is singing it, because its his era. Whole lotta' Rosie is without a doubt my favourite AC/DC tune...

It should be rated that high. Its total entertainment, and sheer passion.

TheSpecialist 03-06-2005 06:13 AM

I have heard it and personally i think its ****in fantastic!:thumb:

Haha, three points for making laugh.

You do realise that Back in Black was written after Bon Scott died? Which makes it impossible for him to have sang a version...
yeh i fell in love with it the solo contiunes till the end of the song its pure genius so did you guys hear about the new acdc cd
All I've heard so far are rumours.

I hope to god that they bring out a new album and tour the world. Even if they have been around the block, they can still kick out the tunes.

ZEROthirtythree 03-06-2005 04:47 PM

AC/DC bores me long time.
