Polyhymnia 08-31-2004 08:00 AM

I've been listening to Elliot Smith alot.

And Orbital.

But I'm sure everyone knows who they all are.

Happymeal 08-31-2004 08:19 AM

Arab Strap-Love Detective, Les Savy Fav-Je Taime and Portishead-Wandering Star are really tickling me ears right now. + I listened to some Rainer Maria, Artificial Light is a very nice song. They sound a bit like Death Cab For Cutie *cough br3ad cough cough*

Happymeal 08-31-2004 10:30 AM

Arab Strap sounds like a Tangy kinda band.:p I'm really loving it right now. Two Ton Shoe-Shadows fo' tha' funk.

teklabz 08-31-2004 05:59 PM

Been listening to Ween, Modest Mouse, No Quarter (Page and Plant), squirell nut zippers, lo fi allstars, the monotone drone of a professor or two.

Happymeal 09-01-2004 06:01 AM

Actually I just found them out yesterday when I was random-band browsing on epitonic.com. You gotta love the accent on "Love Detective". Hehe!

grow 09-01-2004 01:08 PM

Pluto - Film.

Brilliant song.

KazooVirtuoso 09-01-2004 02:59 PM

I still don't have all the songs yet (**** dial-up), but Isis - Panopticon is totally rockin'.

Have I ever said how I love leaks?

Shame on you.

No, shame on you. Any self-respecting Isis fan should have it by now.

I'm missing about 2 songs worth of self-respect though, so I can't exactly talk.

Luxor 09-01-2004 09:49 PM

I baught the Jeff Buckley - Grace (Legacy Edition) album today. It set me back about $40 but it's worth it. I still haven't gotten around to watching the DVD yet though, I hope it's good.

br3ad_man 09-02-2004 01:21 AM

You bought it (:p) that's awesome, I so badly want it!!!

Little Man being Erased 09-02-2004 01:32 AM

^^^^ Is that out in Australia yet? If it's not, when does it come out?

br3ad_man 09-02-2004 02:24 AM

I haven't seen it yet...I'll try to find out when it is released.

br3ad_man 09-02-2004 02:28 AM

You'd do well in Pop-Punk.

clown_phobia 09-02-2004 02:45 AM

yep :) I used to live outta there but now my tastes are expanding. (you can still tell the pop-punk influence in my list though) :)

$40?! Holy crap..I wonder if I'll ever be able to buy that soon.:upset: School starts in 5 days!!! But that's +$5 in my allowance. I'm still wondering what to buy next though.. Transatlanticism?? Burn Piano Island, Burn?? Live at Sin-e?? United By Fate?? Only a few days before You Fail Me comes out..*drool* so many choices..

Tapeworm 09-02-2004 07:57 AM

Live at Sin-e. You know you want it. I think he meant $40 Australian too, I hope.

Live at Sin-e!!!!!!!

Happymeal 09-02-2004 09:40 AM

Wait, IhUn's from Canada..so it must be $40 Canadian..

Hm..Live at Sin-e's $30+ here, heh, but why not. I'm in the mood for some Jeff Buckley these days anyway, Mr. I-love-Jeff Buckley. I'm gonna buy it the week after next, 'cause I don't have the cash right now.:p I'm really looking forward to it.:D *droool*

Tapeworm 09-02-2004 10:20 AM

Hah, I totally forgot/didn't know he was from Canada. $40 man, that's insane!

Luxor 09-02-2004 10:39 AM

It was $32.99 Canadian + tax.

Happymeal 09-02-2004 01:40 PM

Most non-Canadian made cd's are so expensive..:upset: And to think I bought both Further Seems Forever cd's for $28.99 + tax each..argh! My dad bought almost 50 in a week last month. He's crazy.:p I hope Live At Sin-e's worth it! I can't wait.:D

Jellyspoon 09-02-2004 02:34 PM

I finally got Oceanic by isis today, it arrived at my local HMV today.

I have been listening to a band I heard on Peel called Monkey Island, they are good when quirky.

I know, it's horrible. I never buy the CD's that are that expensive, I just download them.

About Live At Sin-e, I'm sure it's just as expensive as Grace (Legacy Edition), I don't think it's that good of a deal.

CommieCanada 09-02-2004 05:37 PM

i am really listening to a lot of Alexisonfire

Luxor 09-02-2004 05:40 PM

Accidents and "Hey It's Your Funeral Mama" are two of their best songs off the new album. You should download them.

AK47 09-02-2004 11:46 PM

I've been seriously digging the Jesus and the Mary Chain

clown_phobia 09-03-2004 01:05 AM

i've been revising my top 5 albums.

Smash by The Offspring

Tomahawk 09-03-2004 02:24 AM

Now digging: A Perfect Circle
I hope Live At Sin-e's worth it! I can't wait.:D
Live at Sin-e is definitely worth it. It's as good as "Grace".

feg 09-03-2004 03:58 AM

I am grown to very fond of The Fiery Furnces, whose first cd Gallowsbird's park is a great combination of energy and experimentation.
I am grown to very fond of The Fiery Furnces, whose first cd Gallowsbird's park is a great combination of energy and experimentation.
You and Tangy should be able to get along very well.:thumb: haha.

Ahh.. I began listening to my Vapor Trails again yesterday.. Although I'm not really that knowledgable about Rush. Is it better or worse than older Rush albums? I love "Freeze" and "Sweet Miracle". I just notice there's less riffing and solos and stuff..

The Ashtray Girl 09-03-2004 08:37 AM

The Fiery Furnaces are awesome.

Tapeworm 09-03-2004 08:39 AM

Indeed they are, I am still looking for either of their albums.

Does anyone think that Gallowsbird's Park is better than Blueberry Boat? Cause they have one of them at my local cd store, and I can't even remember which one it is come to think of it.
