heres some gay ass chords |
@morumbar r u Ceminon?
@mappy do u have some demos/unmastered/unmixed/whatever stuff? I'll probably like that more, LOL. anyway this is some pretty cool mix of genres. I like it. but it's easier to talk about what I don't like, so... I'd have less double-bass & more crashing cymbals though. the constant double bass is too nagging for me, and drags it down a bit. it's really loud and demanding. I'd also like some feedback and faux-screamo choruses, but hey that's just me, probably. but overall this is neat. the screamo-ish song dedicated to your cat is nice. it's the best track along with #4. the intro riffs on #4 made me wish it progressed into a full blown Manowar track. but it's pretty good as is as well. second best track. the other two lack the distinct guitar/bass work that #1 & #4 have, thus making the overbearingly nagging double bass-drums momentarily bearable. there are a couple of truly inspiring moments on here - the stand outs being the fast part of #1, and the epic guitar parts on #4. but both songs simply have fantastic guitars, top notch vocals & creative solutions in general. sadly, the drums are really weak throughout this record, IMO. not only the awful focus on double bass drums, but just the way they sound as well. the rapid snare bashing on #1 is really really really cool though. a rare highlight from that instrument. IDK if you give a shit though. this might just be tl;dr or "who does this idiot think he is" to you... but there it is. looking forward to hearing more from your band. hopefully (for me), you will be expanding on the areas I think you are doing magnificently in the future. good luck. |
map can u put the art/tracklist on ur bands page so i can add that shti on rym
@morumbar r u Ceminon?
Yeah. Changed it when I found out that "cemina" apparently was a misreading of Tolkien's handwriting and it turned out it should have been "cemna". (The "-on" suffix makes it a male word.) |
Your musical compatibility with Ceminon is Low
Music you have in common includes Manowar, Burzum, Summoning, Lies Of A Murderer and Blind Guardian. |

wait until da official release or whatever lol |
drumming is OK. drum set sounds iffy. and way way way too much loud and demanding double bass hammering
|
Depends on the music you're making, but guitars could generally use a cut from 30hz down to 0, a boost anywhere between 150-250hz, a stoop from there to something like 5k or 6k hz, and then a boost between that and 10k or so, followed by a drop. This is roughly speaking. Bass, idk, really.
i'll give it a shot, thanks |
went to record and first time I broke a guitar string in forever :(

rhythm backing track of what i've got so far, EQ'ing the bass was a pain but I guess it is the best i'm gonna get it until I have more instruments in there http://www.box.net/shared/29x8186lb1k9ncbrxtbr short sample of my best Gang of Four guitar impression, would have recorded more but my string broke |
sounds like the bass needs more mids/lower mids idk
|
thats a good post punk guitar sound
|
i gave ur mom more lower mids last night
|
sounds like the bass needs more mids/lower mids idk
yeah. each individual section seems to throw the other off though if I fuck with it too much i'll try and round it out once I have the guitar recorded properly
thats a good post punk guitar sound
if I play sharp chords it sounds pretty snappy the low gain make it sound too digital and like piss though if I let notes hang too long |
mappy your vocals sound so good shit.

Thanks brozy.
Lyrics guys... We Love The Cats / Stinky Backpack Oh my damn, what's that intoxicating smell? Smoke dank nugs Blazed as fuck Imprints & Surveys We'll survey this language with the hearts of critics And drink from the wine of the words that flow Like the lips of a cheap date, smothered in lip stick Saturated in mistruth, rife with twisted meaning And we'll drink from that sweet liqour And convince ourselves of what we wanted Of what we wanted and what we lost We'll take it all without a single thought x4 Not a word of encouragement Just a single glance to the eyes Just cold silent barriers Just cold silent barriers Ignorance, ignoring, intoxicating Now the east has met the west And the product is culture shock 211 There was a time Where there came to be A war between friendship and illicity So cast your stone, and slit my throat But I digress These self-destructive ways will lead to tragedy So cast your stone, and slit my throat I am impressed That you'd prefer to live a life of broken pieces I am the leach But you are all hypocrites I know not whence forth I found these Gaurwaith Or where forth they came I am the leach It's On South Street A wretch is smothered by By the meaning of this experience That we refer to as life The gifts of man are graceful And shallowly graceless A buffoon sings loudly out of key A woman looks criminally attractive in the color red A child is lame and still plays ball The wretch just sits in his chair, thinking away He will never see the daylight He will never see the daylight again The sun is dead etc. |
