CombatRock 06-29-2005 06:06 PM
I've been playing and singing along to Moon Over Marin all day.
Me too, on guitar.

sketchyjoe 06-29-2005 06:22 PM

Bass is more fun.

I play the way god intended. One string at a time.

CombatRock 06-29-2005 07:04 PM

bass > guitar anyday.

(A)Jonny(E). tell us about DK when you saw them on the 24th!

POINTLESS5448 06-29-2005 07:53 PM

i was going to see them on the 25th but i didnt have a ride or money. plus it was at respectable street and that place blows. it wouldnt be the same anyway without jello.

Brain Toad 06-29-2005 07:57 PM

I have a bootleg of the new DK, and the new singer is horrible, don't know if it is Cruz or Penalty though.

AIRIC 06-29-2005 07:58 PM

I would still go see them.

CombatRock 06-29-2005 08:07 PM

i plan on seeing them if they come to texas. just to see klaus, ray and i suppose DH is drumming.

One string at a time? What about the Riot bassline?

And if we're on the subject of guitars and such, then I have to say Ray>all.

Anxious 06-29-2005 08:49 PM

I learned pick style just so I could play Riot.

guns_of_brixton 06-29-2005 08:56 PM

Riot isn't very hard. I'm a guitarist and its really easy to play on bass.

Anxious 06-29-2005 08:57 PM

It isnt. But if you've been playing fingerstyle forever, its hard using a pick.

guns_of_brixton 06-29-2005 09:00 PM

I found it the other way around, I'm still not very good with my fingers.

Excursions 07-01-2005 08:29 PM

I really like Jello with DOA on Last Scream of the Missing Neighbors. DOA are one of my favourite hardcore bands and with Jello it's such a great mix.

Brain Toad 07-01-2005 09:43 PM

Jello is doing a second album with The Melvins as I just read in the recent AT newsletter.

Excursions 07-01-2005 09:51 PM

Sounds interesting, Never Breathe What You Can't See was not bad although only 8 tracks long. Enchanted Thoughtfist and Plethysmograph were my favourite songs.

RCVA 07-02-2005 04:18 AM

Holiday in Cambodia is an awesome song.

Berserker! 07-02-2005 04:20 AM

It's not their best. From FFFRV I prefer California Uber Alles and Kill The Poor especially.

RCVA 07-02-2005 04:45 AM

Yes. Kill the Poor is probably better but i downloaded Holiday in Cambodia before and have listened to that more.

sketchyjoe 07-02-2005 06:55 AM

Chemical Warfare and Kill The Poor are my favourites on FFFRV.

Yeah!
Never breath what you canīt see is an awesome album. Itīs so bad that i missed them last monday in cologne.

OneDollarHitman 07-04-2005 04:12 PM

I just went to a Dead Kennedy's how last week. That was the best show I have ever been to. So much energy, so many punks. Jeff Penalty in my opinion is just as good as Jello. He was energetic, political and he didnt need a 3 foot hawk to prove he was who he was. Im not dissing the hawks but I think its ****ing awesome when a band can just look normal and play there ****ing punk rock.

OneDollarHitman 07-04-2005 04:14 PM

If it is penalty you are a ****ing retard. He is good.

sketchyjoe 07-04-2005 04:15 PM

Penalty's whole persona is just a watered-down version of Jello's.

so its worth seeing them i take it. what songs did they play. and does Jeff sound anything like Jello?

Anxious 07-04-2005 04:54 PM

noone sounds like jello

I love your avatar :)

I would go and see DK if the chance came around with or without Jello. While he is a huge part of the band I would still like to see the rest of the core members.

I didn't know they started playing shows again.

Clashed 07-05-2005 04:37 PM

Yah. I caught them in Anahiem, 1 or 2 months ago. Offical date for the show was moved, as they didn't give a reason at the door, some fans would scream out "Jello wouldn't do this to us!" I laughed.

Later found out it was cuz of Ray's family.

I agree, Penalty is as good Jello. He won't be able to do the same, but decent. Great show and energy. Sick pit, with sicker fans.
