I think we should play Roulette from STA and BYOB or Violent Pornography from Mezmerize. I haven't heard Kill Rock and Roll yet.

If you guys want to do well in the competition, you should do something a little more progressive, like Question! or maybe something out there like Violent Pornography or Forest. Forest would be a good one.

Yeah, I'd like to do Forest, but no one else seemed interested. I think we should do Forest instead of a song from Steal This Album! I don't really like anything off that album.

But if we do a song of of STA it showcases more of SOAD

I see where you're coming from, I just feel that the songs on STA aren't very good so we'd be showcasing SOAD's ability to write subpar songs. Forest and Psycho are quite different songs anyways. But, that's just my opinion, whatever the majority agrees on is fine with me.

I like Steal This Album.

I don't like EVERY song, but it has enough good ones for me to consider it a good 'album'

Streamline is another "epic" song by SoaD. I'd have to say my fave off of STA! is Ego Brain. Not sure why I like it so much, but it's pretty cool.

Hail System of a Down, one of the best modern day bands.

Awesome band.

System Of A Down is a pretty good band, I like the anti-political theme, but sometimes they overdo it and it just becomes annoying.

Most of there songs arnt overly political especially the new stuff.

Hmmm it's good to see this thread doing something for the Cover Competition. A lot of the forum should be interested in seeing what you can produce, as many members here probably would have started out playing SOAD stuff when they formed their first bands. I also agree with JMann when he says Forest would be a good song to cover. :)

I'd like to see Daron say that they aren't a political band now. I remember reading an article about him after Toxicity came out, and he had said, "Sure songs like 'Prison Song' are political, but we aren't a political band."
