Well I guess this a bit of a late entry but oh well :)
My names Luke Cincotta, I live in melbourne australia, and I'm 16. I've been playing for about 1 year 7-8 months, and am so far self-taught, although my dad has been helping out as he's been playing for around 15 years. My hobbies are Basketball, Riding BMX, Drumset (obviously) and Music in general. My main influences are Dream Theater\Portnoy, Tool\Carey, and one I think a few people will raise an eyebrow too, The Offspring\Ron Welty era. I'm not talking about their technical skills nor do they write anything amazingly different, but I think these guys bring ALOT of energy to their music and perform at a really high energy level which I love. I like to listen to anything from Metal, Prog Rock\Metal, to Jazz\chillout stuff to 80's Rock, just about anything. Hmmmm what else...I play a Yamaha Rydeen kit at the moment, but looking to upgrade soon as well as my cymbals...I might post some pics later on in the Gear section...anyways thats all I guess, see ya's all around  - Luke |
Its a little late to do this but what the hell. My name is Andrew Halbert. I live in Virginia. I've been playing drums for four years. I'm in two bands. One is the Stoneyard Prophets (hence, my name) and the other is Wired. My favorite bands are Linkin Park, CKY, Three Days Grace, Three Doors Down, Papa Roach, and Godsmack. My favorite songs are Krawling (Linkin Park), Scars (Papa Roach), Last Resort (Papa Roach), Helana (My Chemical Romance), and I Stand Alone (Godsmack).

haha that reminds me, when i used to wander in the streets a lot, i almost got hit 27(yes i kept count) times by asian drivers. I think this was over a three week period. but come on thats a lot. I hate those masks that they wre, the ones that look like welders masks, there was a lady wearing one of those, i was crossing the street, shes looking the other way and she keeps going, THIS WAS RIGHT AROSS SCHOOL and i was in those yellow painted cross walks where thousands of people cross everyday, and she was just going through it without looking both ways. Oh she did hit my leg, so i kicked her little camry, thats when she looked up. |
Howdy, my name is Charlie Hunter and I'm 14. I live in Arkansas and I've played drums for a little over a year, right now I've got a yamaha rydeen kit. I play snare in my school's marching band and recieved an " outstanding percussionist " award, so that was pretty cool. My fav bands are slayer, mushroomhead, smashing pumpkins, I'll listen to anything but rap. Yes, I like country haha. I play soccer, football, and I love playin ping pong. In my spare time I enjoy playing drums, sleeping, ddr, and I'm on here quite a lot, but never have really got around to posting at all.

Completely contrary to my screen name, my name is James Broussard. I'm from New Orleans, although I live in Knoxville now. Jazz is in my blood and I've been taking lessons for 6 years now.
I'm an artist in every form... I've had much of my work sent to New York for Scholastic Gold Key awards. And I'm going to try to make a living being a musician, or welding, or painting cars...whatever works for me. I love Japanese flick, and even more, I love Japanese Women. I have yellow fever in the worst possible way, I don't even have interest in white women...cause they are all so **** slutty and annoying. They are bitches to say the least. |
I don't even have interest in white women
Come on ya gotta be kiddin me man! |
^That's what I thought :amaze:
|
Come on ya gotta be kiddin me man!
Seriously, I hate white women. They are so annoying that it's impossible for me to take interest. There are a few that I like in the sense that they are kind friends, but the friendly ones usually aren't the best looking ones. And I'm not saying that some white women aren't hot...cause they are, but I just don't feel it. Exotics for me. |
the friendly ones usually aren't the best looking ones
^Yeah man, that's kind of the opposite for me. All the girl "friends" I have are like, wow...and then all the girls that are actually attracted to me, well.......boner kill haha  |
^^ I can sort of understand that. There are these three hot girls that I know, and they are fine, but they are my best friends sisters and I've known them since we were little, so it so feels like they are family...and you can't shake that feeling once it sets in.
|
Yeah, that's true. My sister has some pretty cute friends as well but they are always like, "Oh look, it's Amby's little brother. He's practically our brother...let's give him a hug!" It drives me bonkers when they do crap like that, but I can take it as they are pretty easy on the eyes....:naughty:
|
Ahh well everyones different!
|
that's when you slap em down and say "Bitch, suck on my peepee"
|
"Bitch, suck on my peepee"
Haha, I couldn't do that. Sounds like something a friend of mine would say though  |
im chris. im 18 years old and i've been playing drums for the last 12 years. at various points i've had lessons for a total time of around 4 years, which is pretty weak in my opinion. i teach drums part time at my local school of music, and i also have a few private students. if you heard my band and saw us play you would probably label me in the typical teenage drummer catagory, which may be true but also false. i was originally a classical player, i played in the county orchestra for about 5 years and i've toured spain, america, france and the czech republic with orchestras. i listen to alot of music, mostly stuff like in/humanity and usurp synapse at the moment, but i like some jazz, freeform jazz and a little political rap. i am obsessed with the coheed and cambria story though. i am in a band with the 4 greatest guys ever, we probably really suck in everyone elses opinion, but we have so much fun on stage and we all listen to the same stuff. i play a premier genista 4 piece, 10X8, 14X14, 20X20 kick and a 14X5 snare. i don't think they were standard sizes for the genista. i love turkish cymbals. sorry about the frickin' long essay.
