Well, what I think is under appreciated may be something that someone else thinks is over appreciated...its highly subjective. That being said, in my eyes:

[B]Kyuss[/B] (not known outside of the stoner rock community)
[B]Queens of the Stone Age[/B] (They blur genres so well, its amazing I don't hear MORE about them.)
[B]Johnny Winter [/B] (He doesn't get enough recognition while overrated players take the spotlight)
[B]Jeff Buckley[/B] (I know hes dead, but come on...one of the best songwriters ever).
[B]Clutch[/B] (Straight ahead rock and roll, especially their last CD. Killer riffs, why Jet gets recognition and these guys don't is simply ridiculous.)
[B]Acid Bath[/B] (Shame they stopped making music, they were diverse and even with some simple songs, they were awesome.)
[B]Portishead[/B] (I'm the only big fan that I know. Excellent studio and live work.)
