Hey Frail, visiting another semi-official thread? Then tell me how you like the song Lucretia. Everyone either doesn't like it or says it's awesome; I think it's very underrated and the opening riff is awesome.

That song was what got me to buy the album when i was like 13!!! (almost 21 now), Lucretia i think has a great vocal harmony not to mention killer licks. the intro is hard to get down at first and i think its a real fan favourite.

I get to see them in Reno, first day of the tour !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Megadeth is going to rule, they best have a good set list, I want to hear stuff off the first album

i was lucky enough to see them with Marty as well, but of all three times ive seen Megadeth they have yet to play "99 ways to die" which is my favourite Megadeth song.

What is the quality of the CD. Is it more clearer and are the vocals better or still kinda the same.

they remastered it in 2001 because the original recording was terrible. The remaster (which is easily found anywhere) is a metal jewel. Last Rites, Rattlehead, The Skull Beneath the Skin...some of Dave's best work not to mention most agressive, id say i play that album more than the rest and after three Megadeth live shows ive only seen "the mechanix" played off of it. we shall see this time around.

I have the newer version of Rust in Peace with bonus tracks. There are three demos of the title track, Holy Wars, and Take No Prisoners. They're all of "demo" quality, Chris's solos are pretty boring when compared to Marty's, and Dave... well, Dave is wasted. There's also an original song called "My Creation" but it's not much different in Dawn Patrol; a minute and a half of NOTHING HAPPENS.

I've been looking like a nutcase for that album. Yesterday, I ordered the original. The stores have, for some odd reason, bought up copies of all the other remasters, but nobody has KIMBABIG

As much as Megadeth rocks, thats a pretty dumb argument, dude. I mean, even ****wads like Linkin Park nd Britney sell millions of albums, and - from a musical perspective, not a corporate - they've done pretty much nothing right

Ahhhh but they are very very mainstream.

They have built an image of being "cool" when Megadeth haven't. Those bands get it a lot easier.

Plus, bands like Sum 41 are doing things right. They have the image of a punk rocker which nowadays seems to be "cool". So they are doing things right. By right I mean, making idiotic mainstream music likers think they are cool and will be cool if they listen to their music. Megadeth were doing things for real rockers, not a bunch of trend puppets.

I don't like it. I like their thrashy songs, (Holy Wars, Five Magics, My Last Words) not their chunkier songs (Tornado of Souls, Lucretia).

Hey all, aint been on 4 ages... but i stubled onto this....
I was listening to So Far... the other day and finally realised ace it is, and KIMB, i went through a phase of CW and TWNAH, but now i'm outa that lol.
I'm Loving 502 and last rights at the moment, i can't get enough of them.
As for the new album, its different but it doesn't feel like the old megadeth (obviously) but ya know...one good thing about the new album though...its got a tour following (i got into megadeth just after they split :( ) but i knew one day the may tour again.
