My uncle's best friend went to school and is good friends with Fishman, at the last show in New York on 6-20, he broke down in tears when they played Good Times, Bad Times. For thouse of you who dont know, Phish played that song at the Pepsi Arena (Albany, NY) every time at the end of the first set. It just shows you how many people a band like Phish can touch.

Me and two other friends are going to jam soon. So far we have a couple covers set aside just to get used to playing together..they are:

I just got SCI Canrival '99 and it is superb. I love the jazz covers they did.

I really love their rendition of "I Know You Rider".

It looks like I'm going to see Wooten, which should be really awesome but I really wanted to see DSO. My dad said he didn't want to see a Dead cover band because he saw the real Dead, but I don't know what the hell kinda reason that is.

DSO is insane, close your eyes and you'd think it was Jerry and Bob onstage. The first time I went, I went because my best friends' dad plays the Bob Weir role, I assumed they would suck. Far from it. I have since gone to several more, and even downloaded songs, and when compared to my GD recordings, they fair pretty well. I saw the The Dead this summer, and I would much rather see DSO (backstage passes and free tickets also play into that decision)

Anyone seen Medeski Martin and Wood? I went to a free concert last year in Pittsburgh and I must say it was 2 and half hours of some of the best nonstop free form jazz.

I saw them early this year, they really put on a good show, I bought their CD afterwards I like it alot Friday Afternoon in the Universe.
