^^^ Its gay
Yeah well, who really gives a **** if you think it is? Dont be a jerk man. It's all cool. |
I prefer Titans of Thrash, as my previous thingy was Thrash of the Titans. Plus there is significance to Titans, mainly pertaining to the huge tour of 91'. There is already a horde, and i think something like Thrashers Horde would sound better than "Horde of Thrash".. just doesn't sound right imo.
|
Lmao... I love your avatar "... as is LUDWIG!!" ... ahahahahaha
|
Titans of Thrash > Horde of Thrash
|
Titans of Thrash > Horde of Thrash
And im guessing Titians of Thrash > Titans of Thrash? :P:P:P |
Well the horde of thrash is just because Ve Das wanted me for the horde. And well, because the horde just kicks :) as does LUDWIG!

MX Titans of Trash (AJFA) dude... its THRASH. with the letter H in it. |
I have a Cream coloured Epiphone Custom SG, through a Big Muff and a vintage Peavey 20 watt tube. I'm going to upgrade to a Marshall tube stack one day..I swear.

MX Titans of Trash (AJFA) dude... its THRASH. with the letter H in it.
Well.... AJFA does have a lot of Trash on it. :p |
Boolcks. It's a great record and better than MOP. Admittedly it's slightly crippled by lars playing Tama cardboard boxes and Jason not actually remembering to plug in his bass.
|
^ haha On the mark, Jondur. That has to have the worst production out of every early Metallica album (KEA is close, but at least you can hear some bass!)
|
St Anger is worst.
|
Lmao... ofcourse it is.
AJFA is a good album all in all, but some of the songs are kind of weak as far as thrash is concerned and are sometimes too long for their own good. I realise that it is epic and all, but you can be epic and still thrash the **** out. My favourite song on the album is Frayed Ends of Sanity, as it does both: It's epic, progressive thrash! :D |
Its very long winded at times.
|
I'm back!
I'm going on soulseek to see if I can get that Nosferatu song you were all talking about a few pages back. :P And as for AJFA, One pwns all. |
@GPB: Thanx,you rule :thumb:
|
if there was actual bass in the album - AJFA would be quite good. but like people said, some songs are long for the sake of being long. however, there are some great songs on it, like One, and Dyers Eve, so it remains as the only metallica CD in my cd holder thing (even though i dont listen to it)
st anger isnt that bad!! there are some decent songs on there (dirty window, frantic) that are good thrash songs, but without a vital ingredient: solos! i couldnt give a **** that the drums sound like garbage cans (they are better (sound quality) than half of early thrash, i.e Show no mercy, welcome to hell) i definately rate it above load and re-load, and even over the black album. but it is nothing compared to earlier metallica. and as for nosferatu, you can get it fairly regularily on kazaa. i dont use soulseek, i cant get it to work. can anyone else recommend another good sharing program, preferrably with lots and lots and lots of metal available? :chug: cheers |
Name your favorite thrash bands and albums.
Tell us how you got into metal. Welcome!
O.K first of all, My favorite(s) (couldn't decide between the two) are ride the lightning and AJFA. What I like about it is the complexity of the tunes (although I prefer the solos on the RTL album) and the cool riffs that came out of that album( Frayed ends of sanity, To live is to die etc...) its one of the first albums that I listen to and that I like the songs as a whole. Not just liking part of it and another part etc... And although RTL was a great thrash album (first time I listened to the Fight Fire with Fire intro, I was like :amaze: :thumb: ) something about AJFA that I find better. Its just me. I<d like you guys to give me some ideas of other bands I could listen to. So I could listen to other bands than metallica and guns n roses. Anything would be appreciated. Cause I have't been into thrash for as long as you guys. One day a bit less then two years ago, some friend came to my house and made me listen to ONE. And I freaked out over the last three minutes. Ever since I<ve been listening to anything Rock-Metal related.(But only the biggest known bands which I find is too bad because I know other bands a have material too, Thats where I need your help). Thanx |

I never realized there wasn't enough bass in AJFA. But do you guys have the original Cd from '88. Cause I've got the new digit6ally remastered one. I don't know if the sound is better or worse, but hey...
st anger isnt that bad!! there are some decent songs on there (dirty window, frantic) that are good thrash songs, but without a vital ingredient: solos! i couldnt give a **** that the drums sound like garbage cans (they are better (sound quality) than half of early thrash, i.e Show no mercy, welcome to hell) i definately rate it above load and re-load, and even over the black album. but it is nothing compared to earlier metallica.
I don't really care about the drums either. You can flame me if you want, but I actually like the sound of the snare drum in St. Anger. (I mean the song). I think some songs are decent on St. Anger, but I HATE shoot me again. Makes me want to shoot myself everytime I hear it. I have one question though. why is it that everyone thinks the st.anger(I mean album) lyrics are crap. I like frantic's lyrics. (Notice a couple of phrases on the song St. Anger that were allready on Damage Inc. F*** it all and F***in no regrets I hit the the lights on these dark sets. And in damage inc... F*** it all and f***in no regrets never happy endings on these dark sets Even the phrase "never happy endings on these dark sets" is written in the st. anger booklet. UnknowN Doodl3 |
Heheh, I was spelling Nosferatu wrong. I got it now and it is very very good... 3 minits and some of PURE SHREDDING. :thumb:
