Beer tastes like sweat................. the sweat of the gods!!!
Oh! Burn! joe |
Yup, same here. I usually wait for the whiskey until the end of the night when I want to get really twisted and decide to take the ugly girl home :D
Beer before liquor, never been sicker. Liquor before beer, you're in the clear! joe |
^^^
Meh, honestly, I've done it so many times now, I don't think that rule is true. Mind you, I was drinking much more heavily back when I did that, so I guess a good tolerance helps. Nowadays, I only need 4 beers and I'm set for a little while. Much cheaper. |
it's that rule that made me absolutley terrified of Tequilla (ta-kill-ya). I can't smell tequilla today without nearly vomiting.
joe |
I've got nothing against tequila.
|
I'm out guys, it's too late to be up  ciao!
|
See ya man!
joe |
Ciao.

AHHHH!!!! joe |
When did your hand grow all those faces?
|
Apparently on March 31st, 2005. haha.
Jamie did that after I smashed the hell outof my finger. joe |
No one will mess with that hand!
How did you smash up your finger? |
I was at work, and I was closing a gate, and... well... that's about it, haha. My finger is fine now, although it has no tread on it... I think it'd be cool if it stayed like that, with no finger print. haha
joe |
Im so proud of my picture!
|

That was the night I smashed it. That white line waspeeled up and acted like a little hatch back on my finger. It started to get all hard, so I cut it off, and now I have no tread. Sweet. joe |
That's one messed up looking finger injury.
|
I just came back from a gig from 4 ska bands.
Oh I've seen one of the best live bands! :D Those guys are so good in sweaping up the audience.. they play with tempo changes almost like it's nothing. At the end of the night (still going there) there was another band, but hell that bassist wasn't good. His 410 & 212 ampeg cabinets + head sounded like muddy dirt. |
Do you play your bass with that wound, Joe? If you did that would turn into one nice callus.
|
Bump?
|
*Bumps for Radio's departed-ness*

I've only left the messengers, but I'm still online :).
|
Hello casual!!!
What's new with everybody? |
'Tis a new day, first of all.
|
Sorry...I was reading that Jaco story...
I've got roughly and hour and a half for my new day. |
I'm sitting around bored...
...more than usual, too.:upset: |
I'm watching the Some Kind of Monster documentary on VH1. Very intersting I think.
I'm also working on the tapped version of "Moonlight Sonata" like Stu Hamm does. This is really helping me on tapping, but I won't have this thing mastered for a week or 2, depending on how much time I dedicate to it. |
I like tapping, it's very interesting to me, but I just don't have much actual interest in playing it...
I went to a Trust Company/Papa Roach concert last night... |

I saw the actual documentary because my dad owns it, and I thought it was rather comical. It's funny how the band members act towards each other. I had started working on "Moonlight Sonata" a couple months ago, but I gave up a few days after I started. It was mainly because I wanted to do different things, and I didn't have any time to learn it. I'm thinking about picking it up again. I still remember the first four measures or so. Good luck with it. |
I haven't slept for 10 days because that would be too long.
|
I just finished watching Straight, No Chaser. If you're a bebop fan, you need to watch it.
joe |
What is that, Joe?
|
It's sort of a documentary about Thelonious Monk. Lots of live stuff of him playing. It's amazing. I mean, I love Monk, and I've been big into him this year so far, and just watching him play was amazing. Kind of sad though...
joe |
People underestimate Moonlight Sonata. If you play it right using the right fingers and hitting the right choirds and notes its 10x harder then if you play it like.... say how the mx tab shows. Download his "live at san fransico" video off your p2p program and get EADG's powertab for it to learn it properly. It will take millions of right hand pinky excorsizes to play i right  I used to think it was so easy and overrated but... I was so nieave! (omg major sp!!)
|
I haven't really heard any Thelonious Monk, reather, I don't think I've ever heard anythink of his, what would you recommend?
|
If you're looking for specific songs then "Round Midnight", "Epistrophy", "Just a Gigolo", "Nice Work if You Can Get It", "Green Chimneys", "Ruby, My Dear", "Evidence", "In Walked Bud", "Between the Devil and the Deep Blue Sea" "Rythem A Ning", "I Love You Sweetheart of All My Dreams"... there are so many good ones. Listen to anything you can. He's absolutley amazing.

If I didn't have patience or a complete love for that song, I would have given up. But I don't care if it takes me 2 months to learn, I'm going to. |
I'd like to announce secret plans im having...
Im currently designing my own version of a Whamola :D If the designing process goes to plan, I should be building this in around July :D Heres are my designs upto now. (I have a few more detailed ones to do and others covering minor things) Please tell me what you think and any design flaws or anything. Thanks I think ill make this post into a new thread too |
Seeing as how I know nothing about making a whamola... good luck.
Hopefully it will work. |
The neck and head of the finished product look like a "one-eyed monster" if you don't see the rest of the body.
