The Ric Clang.. its very vintage sounding, I guess. I'm much more into the 'thump' and just low end of bass.
the maple fretboard and the fender looks :p
I see.

Well, I dislike maple fingerboards for the most part, and I don't mind an ESP having an ESP look :p.

I do wish it had an active/passive switch, tho.
Dude, in 4 months, I'm gonna be on summer holiday, and just relaxing. Taking a break from doing my GCSEs for two years. I can't wait to finish 'em. Just two pieces of coursework to do, and one subject to drop, then some hardcore revision cramming in the 2 weeks of exams... ^_^
Boo AS levels though.

Once you've done them, its back to school to start the A Level part.

BTBs don't have much thump, to my knowledge.

Then again, a Roland can do it all :).

lemoley 04-09-2005 07:57 AM
When I start my exams, I'll be around less.

I should be revising right now.
Well I've done no project work in Graphics, and missed the deadline to submit it. I really need to see about dropping it. The only way might be to pay for the exam (as the reason I couldn't drop it when I asked was because the school already paid to enter me for it), which I wouldn't mind doing, for the sake of having no Graphics...

There should be a prize for brand loyalty you know...

Thunder Fingers 04-09-2005 07:58 AM

in style of basses, i realy prefer the Classics... i dont need such high end 1001 knob basses..... if i wanna change my sound i will use pedals and eq'ing...

NoooooOoOOoooOOoo!

Why didn't you do any work?

fatbandit 04-09-2005 07:59 AM

Dude, BTBs do *everything*. Don't underestimate. They are mid-range monsters at heart, I think, but the rumble you can get off that... And also, the amount of EQ I get from the Roland and from the onboard EQ is more than adequate. Definitely ain't no 'Ric-o-Sound' though...

Bedrovelse 04-09-2005 08:00 AM

waddle waddle

fatbandit 04-09-2005 08:01 AM

I did about 4 pages. But I had no interest in the subject. Looking back, I would have done it sooner, but then all my other coursework just took priority (I left that all too late too...), so I'm kinda buggered. It should be ok in the end. Things usually work out...

I've never really played an Ibanez I've liked in most aspects... Maybe I haven't played enough.

The RD's sounded nice, but felt pathetic...

Thunder Fingers 04-09-2005 08:02 AM

if you want Thump.. Flatwounded P bass is the way to go....

lemoley 04-09-2005 08:02 AM

fatbandit 04-09-2005 08:05 AM

And I may check out getting some Flats on my BTB, I'm not sure.

Though new strings, combined with EQ'd thump is quite nice, but doesn't last long.

kilian 04-09-2005 08:05 AM

I did pass french :D
With a high mark
I don't know where that did come from.. I had to do the exam again (my mark was too low) and then I had this real high mark!

Haha, geez, let's hope so, and Bedrovelse, I've learnt how to spell your name with having to look at it. It's simply bed-rove-lse. I broke it into syllables, to learn it, I'm smart.

good rats 04-09-2005 08:21 AM

Woke up about 14 hours ago, got dressed, watched my mate get his hair cut. Then we went to a good ol' gig. Saw a few bands play, I got real sweety, and now, I'm here. My mate is watching tv. I might be getting my hair cut tomorrow.

Bedrovelse 04-09-2005 08:23 AM
