SS7, please use the EDIT button next time.

Also, perhaps a better idea would be to make a poetry in music general thread, then post your articles within the thread, and simply link them to your first post. This will probably keep discussion flowing a lot better.
Thanks man,

Would it be okay if i created a "nu metal debate" thread or would it just be banned?

I basically want to know what people think of the genre and why.
I'd say you'd be better off bumping the Nu Metal Bands That Don't Suck thread. I can find a link for you if you like.

This is a question for everyone doing the mailings of albums, why use YSI? How many clicks does megaupload allow? Is it really worth using YSI 2/3 times for 25 clicks or is it worth doing megaupload once? I'm not sure.

It depends on what you're talking about - Megaupload allows links until thirty days of inactivity, from what I understand. Some people have expressed concern over Megaupload, saying that it won't connect to their computer after the forty-five second download. With YSI, the link is more instant; however, sometimes YSI is incredibly laggy, whereas my experience with Megaupload has been rather smooth.

To be fair, I use YSI for single songs to send people (a la Request Music thread), and I send albums with Megaupload - I can track the progress with the status bar. With YSI, I only have to wait a few seconds, so I don't really need the status bar... but sometimes, especially if it's a large album or file, I like the status bar.

I'm getting fed up with stupid flame posts of any band, whether its a band I dislike myself or a band I love.

The Flabbit Rides High 10-06-2005 02:46 PM

Just a thought, but why hasn't the Music Request Thread been stickied?

It gets used everyday, and is pretty useful. Also, there is no spam in it whatsoever.

Just a thought, use it, don't use it. :)

Nostalgia 10-06-2005 05:24 PM

Oh, this is probably a stupid question but why did all of the offcial threads names get changed?

Daven 10-06-2005 05:26 PM

I think its because a lot of users where doing "Official" threads. So to stop this the Official threads got their names changed.

The Flabbit Rides High 10-06-2005 05:27 PM
Oh, this is probably a stupid question but why did all of the offcial threads names get changed?
Because of the growing mass of a community that has formed within each group, it was thought that it would add to the uniqueness to give each group a differnt name relating to their music.

Hope that answers your question. :)

Recommendations thread.

P86 10-06-2005 11:06 PM

Hey guys....I didn't really want to waste thread space by posting a question that may have already been asked.
Anyway, to my question.....
I'm looking for some screaming techniques. I did some searching on Google, but didn't really find much for screaming. Most of it was vocal techniques. Our band's sound is rock\post-hardcore, so I'm not looking for deathmetal type screaming, but more of a yelling type sound of screaming.
If there is a thread where this question is answered, could someone provide a link? Or if someone knows a site where I might go for help, that would rule.
Honestly, any help would be nice.

Sorry my post was kind of long.....

Deathcrush 10-07-2005 04:16 AM

http://www.musicianforums.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=10

Here ya go. There are countless threads already made on screaming, but try to find the official screaming techniques thread (I'm not sure what it's actually called, you will be able to tell it apart due to it's amount of posts, and it probably has stars).

superpeer 10-07-2005 06:50 AM

Some of my first posts on these forums were in that thread, so it should probably be closed. It's bound to bring many more arguements also.

Doctor Night 10-07-2005 02:59 PM

I think it would be good if someone made and Official Live Show thread, so that all these little,
Audioslave live in Toronto, 'ooohh did any else go' threads wouldn't clutter up the first few pages
