Where do all of you get your shirts? Online, or at actual stores?

For instance, I can't think of any local place that any SOD shirts.

ThrashMaster27 04-28-2005 08:27 PM

Certainly likes his Canadian bands. I'm on the hunt for a Coroner t-shirt. I won't stop until I find one!

RCA 04-28-2005 08:52 PM

I want a Coroner shirt as well, and a Sodom backpatch.

RavenousMetalist87 04-28-2005 08:58 PM

*needs some patches and studs for teh LeAtHeR vEst*

I've looked around a few ideas, and I just haven't decided when I'll decorate my vest. I've already decorated this jacket I got like almost 3 years ago. I was looking at stuff at the Army store, but they didn't have crap. Then I found this nice, looking jacket (same color as the threads here, but the ones toward the left, like a dark aqua) and completely terrorized it XD

Actually, I got this Gap jacket that was like about 40 bucks. Nice color, and it had plenty of space for my patches. I put a majority of my favorite bands at the time, mainly just metal bands, then I wrote "R.I.P Dimebag" and the lyrics to Remember The Fallen and Masked Jackal on the front of it.

If they lyrics are still there when I get it back tommorrow from the cleaners, I'll try my best to post pictures. Not a thrash jacket, but a metal jacket that's like...a soon to be high school memory XD (did it right during the summer after Freshman year too).

I can't wait for Inventor of Evil to come out now :D

whatduffhuck7 04-28-2005 09:35 PM

does anybody else love exodus's newest album Tempo of the ****ed?
i think its a GREAT Album. war is my sheppard is the video song on that album, and thats not even in the top half of favorite songs on that album. such a good cd.

Apocalyptic Raids 04-29-2005 12:03 AM

Tempo was fuc.king great. Although IMO Forward march,Culling The Herd and Throwing Down are kinda average but other than that, it rules. The new album sounds like it's gonna be killer

NP: The Purging Fires Of War - Arghoslent

ArcLite 04-29-2005 12:05 AM

I've never heard Exodus, but I've always been meaning to check them out. I'm trying to broaden my thrash collection. What band would you say they're most similar to?

extreme_191 04-29-2005 12:20 AM

Can someone please recommend a few of their favourite technical thrash albums?

I need to branch out. As for thrash I only know of megadeth, metallica, haunted, annihlator, overkill, coroner, anthrax, SYL,

Apocalyptic Raids 04-29-2005 12:23 AM

For tech thrash: Energetic Disassembly by Watchtower is essential, and is a masterpiece. Also try R.I.P and Punishment for Decadence by Coroner and Time Does Not Heal by Dark Angel.

cj: Hmm, tough question that, as they have a unique sound. Although i guess they kinda sound like Testament or Ride The Lightning era Metallica, but a fuckload better than both of those bands. Bonded By Blood is essential.

Riva 04-29-2005 01:05 AM

Is what I heard true? Is Kreator coming to Australia!?!

Testament ≥ Exodus > Metallica ;)

I'm going to check out those tech thrash bands, because I love Coroner. :)

I can't believe I missed Kreator!! News travels way too slow around here.

A friend of mine said it today. It wasn't on the Kreator site, so it may be a rumour.

Freezing Moon 04-29-2005 01:30 AM

They ARE touring with Vader though, so keep looking into it. Don't miss it like I did. :-\

Try all the ones mentioned, plus Sadus - A Vison Of Misery, and Elements Of Anger.

Apocalyptic Raids 04-29-2005 03:56 AM

Ah, forgot about Sadus, also might wanna try Illusion/Chemical Exposure (Search the thread and you can find it on mp3).

Just ordered Persecution Mania, :D which was sorely missing from my collection.

Early Sadus isn't exactly technical compared to the later stuff.

Nice order too. :D

Apocalyptic Raids 04-29-2005 06:05 AM

Ah, I only have the first two Sadus releases.

ThrashMaster27 04-29-2005 06:16 AM

I guarentee if anybody even tries to imitate Darren Travis' voice they'll pay for it. How in gods name he sings like that is beyond me.

NP: Sadus - Sadus Attack

AAAAAAAATTTTTTTAAAAAAAAAACCCCCCCCCCK!

Apocalyptic Raids 04-29-2005 06:31 AM

I've been listening to Illusions heaps lately. CER-TAIN DEATH!!!

DisposableHeroes 04-29-2005 03:38 PM

The new Flotsam and Jetsam song is alright, kinda growing on me

I love the way Peter growls! Plus, he's got awesome stage presence.

ForiegnPenguin 04-29-2005 08:27 PM

Yeah, but live I coudn't ever hear him.

Apocalyptic Raids 04-30-2005 06:09 AM

What are some good Vader songs to try?

metalcritter666 04-30-2005 06:27 AM

Does anyone know where to get good Heathen guitar tabs?

Apocalyptic Raids 04-30-2005 06:49 AM

have you tried MetalTabs?

metalcritter666 04-30-2005 10:04 AM
have you tried MetalTabs?
Yeah, and a couple of others (mxtabs included) but I can't find any. Guess I'll have to work out Guitarmony by ear.

Apocalyptic Raids 04-30-2005 10:20 AM

:/ I'm no good at learing by ear, although i managed to work out parts of Death Angel's Voracious Souls by ear :D

metalcritter666 04-30-2005 10:30 AM

Can you recommend any good thrash bands apart from early Metallica, Megadeth, Slayer, Anthrax, Heathen and Dark Angel?

FatalEnergy 04-30-2005 10:42 AM

There is one very well done Heathen Tab on mysongbook.com, but you need Guitar Pro for it

Your mom blows

Seriously dude, we're here to be mature and serious. If you get us started, then head for the hills because just about all the die-hard thrashers will jump on your *** the second they see this.

Have a Nice Day

extreme_191 04-30-2005 11:17 AM

just kiddin

actually, sorry man. My buddy's into disco and pointed his views without my permission. I just don't feel that erase the comment will help anything.
I need more thrash bands in general, considering how I adore Megadeth, Annihlator, and Quo Vadis.
